An unforgettable modern Indian feast

From the moment you step inside Farzi, you know you're in for a special evening. The decor's soft, intimate lighting casts a warm glow over a minimalist space, accented with rich, jewel-toned textiles and delicate patterns. Beautiful artwork on the walls and the quiet hum of ambient music complete the sophisticated, yet cozy, atmosphere, making it ideal for both a romantic date night and a celebratory dinner.

The true star of the show is the food, thanks to the remarkable talent of the young Chef. The menu is a vibrant journey that honors authentic Indian flavors while presenting them with an innovative, contemporary flair. From appetizers to main course each dish was a pure revelation, surprise and work of art, with vibrant colors and artful placement that made every dish a feast for the eyes before it was for the palate.

The creativity extends to the drink menu as well. We were delighted by the thoughtful mocktail and cocktail selection, which moved far beyond standard juices and drinks

The service was impeccable throughout the night. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the menu, guiding us through the dishes and describing the chef's vision for each plate.

In a culinary landscape where "modern" often sacrifices soul, Farzi succeeds brilliantly. It's a place where authentic Indian tastes are respected and elevated through fresh vision and flawless technique. An unforgettable experience that I cannot recommend...

Amit Upadyay's Farzi gets my 💯 A 100 Star Culinary Spectacle. Farzi NYC is Pure Magic 💯✨

Farzi NYC isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a theatrical experience, a bold reimagination of Indian cuisine that ignites your senses and leaves your heart full.

From the moment you walk in, you're met with a modern, upscale vibe that still carries the soul of India. Moody lights, chic décor, and music that sets the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening.

The hospitality is impeccable. You’re treated like royalty, with every detail and request handled with thoughtfulness and grace.

Now the food, oh the food!

Each dish is a celebration, a piece of edible art that surprises and delights. The dal chawal arancini is a genius twist on comfort food. The butter chicken bao is soft, rich, and wildly addictive. And don’t even get me started on the chili duck samosa.

it's next level.

Their drinks are as creative and daring as their food. Each one tells a story, blending Indian spices with world class mixtures.

Farzi isn’t just redefining Indian cuisine, it’s elevating it to world stage levels. This is where tradition dances with innovation. This is where memories are made.

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. And I just did. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (×10!)

Bravo Farzi. You have raised the bar beyond imagination. See you...

We checked out Farzi NYC after seeing a viral Instagram reel, but overall, the experience didn’t live up to the hype.

The biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning—it was brutally hot inside, which made eating spicy food uncomfortable. The staff, including the servers and host, seemed inexperienced and more serious than friendly. Service wasn’t bad, but it lacked warmth and polish.

As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The lamb chops looked great but were a bit too sweet for our liking. The pani puri had almost no flavor and seemed designed more for Instagram than for actual taste. On the positive side, the mushroom do paisa and the smoked lal maas lamb shank were both solid dishes with depth and balance.

One major concern: the tipping system feels borderline deceptive. They automatically add an 18% gratuity (for larger groups), then the payment tablet defaults to another 20% tip on top of that. If you’re not paying close attention, you may end up double-tipping without realizing it.

In short, Farzi has potential, but it’s clearly working through some growing pains. Right now, it’s not worth the premium prices they’re charging. Hopefully, with time, both the food and service will match the...

Farzi NYC never disappoints! I’ve been here 4–5 times now, and every single visit has been an incredible experience. I’ve brought friends and family from all over the country, and each one of them has left raving about the food, service, and atmosphere. The servers Harish and Shiva deserve a special mention — they’re absolute gems of humans! Their hospitality, genuine warmth, and thoughtful recommendations always make the meal extra special. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and it’s rare to see that level of care and consistency. Now, the food — wow. The Mumbai Crossroads appetizer is my go-to! The Chilli Rosemary Naan is unlike any other naan. And the Paneer Lababdar? Absolutely to die for. Their gin-infused Paan cocktail is another standout. It’s one of the most unique and refreshing drinks I’ve ever had — a perfect end (or start!) to the meal that captures the essence of Indian flavors in a modern, playful way. For me, Farzi nails it every single time —. Highly, highly recommend! And no this is not a paid review <3

We had such an incredible dining experience at Farzi NYC! The cocktails set the tone right away, the Anar Mojito and Mango Margaritas were refreshing and beautifully crafted. Appetizers were outstanding, the Hibiscus High Pani Shots came with a dramatic smoke presentation and were such a fun start. The Keema Pie 2.0 with house garlic bread and potato gratin was both delicious and so aesthetically plated. For entrées, the Paneer Donut Kofta in spinach curry was unique and bursting with flavor, while the 8-hour simmered OG Butter Dal Makhani was absolutely lajawaab. The Lamb Shank was served with a smoky presentation, incredibly tender, and melted in the mouth. We paired everything with fluffy Malabar and Laccha Parathas, along with the divine Cranberry Garlic Raita, which perfectly complemented the mains. The service was attentive and warm, and the dim, romantic atmosphere made the evening even more special. Overall, every dish was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Truly worth visiting again and again!
