The ambiance at Le Marais strikes the perfect balance between refined elegance and a welcoming atmosphere. The dim lighting, tasteful decor, and attentive staff create an upscale setting that immediately sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. What sets Le Marais apart is its ability to maintain this level of sophistication while remaining surprisingly affordable.
The menu at Le Marais offers a range of options, from mouthwatering steaks to delectable appetizers and sides. Despite the upscale setting, the prices are refreshingly reasonable, making it a standout choice for those seeking an upscale dining experience without the hefty price tag typically associated with high-end steakhouses.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show â the food. The quality of the steaks at Le Marais is nothing short of exceptional. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, each bite is a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. The menu caters to a variety of palates, ensuring that there's something for everyone, from steak enthusiasts to those seeking lighter fare.
What truly impressed me was that despite the affordability, Le Marais does not compromise on the quality of ingredients or the attention to detail in presentation. The dishes are artfully crafted, and each element on the plate contributes to a harmonious and satisfying dining experience.
The service at Le Marais further enhances the overall experience. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive, providing a level of service that complements the restaurant's upscale ambiance.
Le Marais has succeeded in creating a space where diners can indulge in an upscale kosher dining experience without breaking the bank. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual night out, Le Marais stands as a testament to the fact that culinary excellence and affordability can coexist without sacrificing quality. I highly recommend Le Marais to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in the...
Read moreI came with my son to NYC for his birthday and we went to a few resteraunts and we decided to rate them based on different categories.
Environment and Ambiance: we gave this category a 1 out of 5 or 3 out of 10. Its not nice. Some might call it cozy. We dont. You are sitting close enough to your neighbors and neighbor's neighbors that everyone can hear each other's conversations and there is no privacy. It does not have a feel of a high end resteraunt. Depending on where you are sitting you might fee like you are in a public thoroughfare.
Qaulity of food: I got a hangar steak and my son got a center cut. Both were pretty good. Its not a 5 star because first, my prior experience was not great, second, we only had a few things ever to be able to tell the consistency throughout the menu, and third each bite of the center cut was a different experience. It was not very consistent, but still good. The actual qaulity of the meat seamed good.
Presentation of food: My son says 3 out of 5. I give it a 2.5 out of 5. The plates were big so they just filled it with lettuce and fries. Not very like a 5 start experience. I know I'm in an upper class resteraunt and expect smaller portions (very large portion for hangar steak) and more effort on presentation.
Speed of food: 4 out 5! We recieved our food very fast. That could be because it was not so busy, but either way we had a good experience.
Qaulity and speed of service: i cant give a 5 out of 5 but less than a 3.5 out of 5 would mean it was bad service. It was not bad, but it was as expected. It definitely did not exceed expectations but you won't be disappointed; but you likely won't be impressed.
OVERALL: It was a good meal but not where I will run to for 5 star dining.
If you are in the area and want to check it out I recommend it as its also fairly priced compared to its...
Read moreI've been to this restaurants several times and I've always had great service and great food but yesterday I went with my husband and I was extremely disappointed. Firstly, on other occasions my husband and I came dressed up, but this time we had spent the day in the city walking around and were dressed pretty casual. From the second we walked in we already felt uncomfortable. On other occasions we come and they take us straight upstairs. This time I asked to sit upstairs and the hostess looked at me as if I was crazy and said for two people? Keep in mind it was the afternoon. So they took us to our table and we sat down to look at our menus. We ordered and when the appetizers came there was one that the presentation wasn't so great and it tasted OK but didn't have anything to really eat it with. We told the waiter that it wasn't to our taste and to send it back. He disappeared. Next thing we know another lady comes to speak to us. In a very accusing tone she asked us what was wrong with it. We explained to her, and she gave us a look and took it away. This is not the service we expected from an upscale steakhouse! THEN another person came to speak to us. They told us to take the dish home because they were going to charge us for it anyways. I was so turned off. I've never been to a restaurant not even a pizza store that when you don't like the dish they give you such a hard time! We continued on with our meal and not once did a waiter come to check in and see how we were enjoying and if the food is ok. We left with such a sour taste in our mouths and I can definitely say I'm...
