First thing first, I want to make clear than I have being a huge fan of oo35mm since 2014, when I landed in NY. The best thing of the store is its personnel always eager to help you and give you good advice, never trying to sell you something that you donât need and giving you always some samples related with your needs. I cannot remember to how many friends I have recommend oo35mm and now are clients. So I was so excited about the opening of the new location that itâs much more convenient for me. So, I went yesterday for my first time, the person who gave me advice solved all my doubts and was nice but when I went to the cashier to pay my products I was surprise about two facts: they were asking for a tip (first time in my life that this happen to me in a beauty shop, obviously I didnât tip) and the second surprise is they didnât give me any sample even when my purchase was over 80USD. This last thing was a little gesture that used to make more pleasant your experience, but it seems that doesnât happen anymore. So, the space is bigger and more beautiful, the advice continues to be nice, but the tip thing and lack of samples made my experience...
Read moreI went to their store to buy a sunblock stick. They were having an âopeningâ pop-up with âdrinks and snacksâ, and a spin the wheel for a prize game. The spin the wheel was rigged and had weights built into it to make it so that it never landed on âfull size product.â. Players either got a pinky nail sized sample on snail mucin or a cheap and ugly baseball cap. The employees had no idea what was going on and the event was so unorganized and chaotic. The line inside the store was long but the cashiers were so clueless that they just kept chatting everyone up and checking people out at a snails pace. I asked an employee if she could remind the cashiers that the line was wrapped around inside the store and to otherwise help expedite the painfully slow check out process and she looked at me like a deer caught in headlights. The snacks they had on hand was store bought kids candy and disgusting canned coffee. My friend and i left and i ordered my product online. You all are better off saving time and an off the beaten path trip by just ordering what you need online. This store is an overrated...
Read moreI went there yesterday morning to pick up some TirTir foundation. Initially I was hesitant on going because Senti Senti is a small store versus a huge store like Sephora. Sometimes things can get socially awkward for me. Especially when it staff makes it feel like youâre being monitored more than helped. Yâall know what Iâm talking about! Any hesitance I had was immediately washed away by the chorus of hellos from the staff when I entered. All offers of help felt genuine and not intrusive at all! One staff member was fully invested in helping me get my right shade in TirTir. Very much appreciated. Even though I was a little overwhelmed by the variety and intensity of K Beauty, I loved how the store was neatly arranged by function instead of brand. Everything was visible and accessible. My only wish is that there were more TirTir testers available. I did find my perfect shade despite that. Senti Senti does have an online store, but the Brooklyn store is well worth the trip on the G train. I cannot...
