Yo, Birria LES is straight-up fire! I ordered some tacos the other night, and guess who shows up at my door? Emon Ullah, the co-owner himself, handing me my food with a big smile. That’s next-level vibes right there—talk about making you feel like a VIP! The food? Oh man, it’s a party in your mouth. The beef birria tacos are juicy, packed with this deep, spicy flavor that hits all the right spots. Dunk ‘em in that rich consommé, and it’s like a flavor bomb explodes. The shrimp tacos are just as dope, super tender and zesty. I also got the elote corn—grilled, creamy, and a little tangy, it’s basically summer on a cob. And don’t sleep on the mulitas—crispy tortillas stuffed with melty cheese and meat that’s pure magic. Everything’s 100% halal, which is awesome for me. It’s legit Mexican food with that NYC hustle. Came hot, fresh, and ready to devour. Yeah, the tacos aren’t huge, but the taste is so bold, you won’t care. Birria LES is my new go-to for halal Mexican eats. Disappointing experience at Birria Williamsburg. I had such high hopes for this restaurant. Went for my lunch break and it was empty which I liked but my order was completely wrong. I ordered a small esquites, a chicken empanada, and birria beef dumplings. I was given the esquites, a chicken and cheese empanada , and a birria beef taco. I wasn’t aware that the empanada had cheese when I took the taco back. I got to keep the taco which tasted okay -would likely purchase again. The corn in the esquites had that soft/chewy feel not like fresh corn on the cob so I wasn’t completely satisfied with that but still ate, the empanada I didn’t want cheese so that was disappointing but it was tasty, and the dumplings which is why I went turned out to be chicken dumplings and I wasn’t getting back up to correct them again so I ate it.

Well, this spot is a real neighborhood letdown. I'm usually pretty forgiving and understanding with hospitality establishments having “a bad day” as I’ve worked in hospitality too many years not too understand that, but this time, I've got to speak up. Hey, if you're running this joint in Williamsburg, you've got to bring some heart to it! Unfortunately, this place feels soulless, unfriendly, food is mediocre and the staff? Let's just say, they're not winning any awards for hospitality. We ordered a couple of small consommés, a mulita, and a tostada, and what do we get? A wait of over 25 minutes, cold food, and what can only be described as broth with a tons of raw onion swimming in it. That's not cool. And to top it off, the staff's attitude?
