Ordered double cheeseburger, chicken tenders and combo tots and fries. Gave it 5 stars because I like this kind of place: California style burgers, with a tip of the cap to in-n-out, almost there. I admit that it’s a specific style they are going after and you might not ultimately like the style: thin griddled burger patty with a good crisp exterior, American cheese, burger sauce, big fresh onion, tomatoes and lettuce (surprisingly fresh and tasty, but be careful if you’re not an onion fan as it’s a big slice), griddled potato roll. I was definitely happy to order double burger as the patties are characteristically very thin (again, you might not like the style). The burger came wrapped in paper as typical and did have some construction issues as it listed to port making it hard to hold. Combo tots and fries were ok, not spectacular. Probably would skip them next time. But, the sleeper award winner was chicken tenders: white meat chicken perfectly fried, crispy bit not greasy. Side of burger sauce was tasty and a nice companion. All in all, I’ll return again if my cardiologist allows me to. I didn’t order a shake but reports from friends suggest that is a...
Read moreWe had been wanting to check this place our for awhile. Always walked past it and it seemed to be busy. We went today. Husband ordered a "plain hamburger," which was interpreted as "no cheese, but all the toppings." He clarified to avoid an issue.
Food: Plain hamburger and fries. The hamburger was $8.50. The burger lacked flavor and was slightly better quality than fast food. The french fries were under cooked, but smelled good. Nothing could help the burger, but if the fries were cooked longer (beyond the color of ghost of Christmas past white), they would have been decent.
Service: The staff there are apathetic at worst, distant at best. Not that I am looking for a fake hello / hug with my hamburger.
Overall: Glad to try a local place, but we won't be back. There are other and better burgers in the neighborhood. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but $15 for a flavorless burger and undercooked fries won't be making us...
Read moreI live nearby and was really excited when I saw that a new burger place was opening in the neighborhood. My boyfriend and I got food opening weekend, and it was all so delicious. The fries and tots were hot, crispy and perfectly salted. The burgers were fresh. We had found our new favorite neighborhood burger joint. However, we ordered from them again recently and it was a totally different experience. The fries were overcooked, the tots were soggy + lacking salt and the burger was cold. Plus, my boyfriend ordered a burger and they gave him chicken tenders instead (which we didn't realize until we got home, unfortunately). We picked our order up as soon as it was ready, so the cold/soggy problems could not have been because of a late pickup. We might try again because our first experience was so positive and perhaps this was a one-off occurrence, but this place seems to be going...
