Really love the food here. I usually get the steamed chicken dumplings and chicken congee and a matcha boba. The boba is so fresh here.I love Congee such a healthy comfort food and I the green onions on top give it a nice touch of sour flavor balance. The dumplings taste very fresh and dough is perfect thickness, not too tick or thin where they break as soon as you pick them up. I work in the area and go for lunch, food is always quick and feels like a treat but very reasonably priced. I’ve also had a couple of the noodle dishes and the tofu pancake sandwich (sorry can’t remember name) was really good with a nice spicy zing to it. Try it out, and get a couple things, everything I’ve had I would...

It is a beautiful micro restaurant, I have been there twice for their teas. I must however, in all honesty give them failing mark ( in my personal opinion ) : because the tea I ordered last time had a foreign matter in it. At first when it swirled in my mouth I thought it was the stem of the tea. Since I found it odd I pulled it out of my mouth and it turned out to be a piece of metal shard. It looked like sharded brillo that they cleaned with came loose and was boiled in the boba/tapioca pearls. I did call and tell them about my experience, they asked if they could rectify the situation, but I couldn't go back. I'm sad, I could have swallowed it and tea should not be worth a...

My mind wandered to dumplings…at that moment I heard the crisp sound of a doorbell ringing through the fragile silence of my 2.5 bedroom apartment. ā€œWho could it be?ā€ I thought semi-sensually. It was my order of dumplings from Oh Dumplings that seemed to have arrived with such briskness I barely had time to submit the payment from my adequately capitalized debit account. Delicious? Dumplings are solid and noodles and burgers quite good. Reliable, fast, and reasonably priced in an area lacking other standout Chinese food options? You bet your...

#musingsbyalice on my first mother's day, i wrote about how it started with a blow out and was very ordinary day, complete with family nap, and how wonderful it was just spending it as a new family. alina was two months old, and that seems like an eternity ago. it's not unlike how we spent mother's day this year (& last year or the year before that) — lunch at our usual dumpling/boba shop, new books from the library, scootering around the park, and hot pot for dinner. now, six year's later, i'm willing to admit what i wasn't that first year (or the next, or the next) -- that it's hard not to get caught up in the hallmark gestures of the day (esp w social media) -- flowers, gifts, breakfast in bed, a hotel staycation -- even if deep down we know those gestures do not / cannot hold a light to our value as mothers. sure, we can dispel the commercialism of the day & exclaim 'everyday should be mother's day' all we want, but how (?!) when the last two years have shown us that mothers are so undervalued. so, i think it's okay feel disappointed and to demand more. And, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have wanted to spend our day any other way because I am awkward around big gestures & an ordinary day is exactly how I'd want to spend it. for me, it really isn't about the flowers, gifts, or breakfast in bed -- in my current stage of motherhood, it is more about a nice gesture that doesn't involve me making a single decision or doesn't involve me taking any initiative. I don't want to decide on what the kids wear, when or what they'll eat for breakfast, mediate an argument, determine when they should change into their swim clothes, or even what i'd like for dinner. take that last one with a grain of salt bc as soon as I expressed desire to make absolutely zero decisions yesterday, i promptly demanded what I wanted for dinner(@haidilaoirvine — to obtain my sailor moon wand, obvi). Still, it made my day better & I realized, how much decision making do mother's make in handling every day life and what value do we put on that? If you didn’t get the Mother’s Day you wanted, make it known. We deserve more. https://liketk.it/3EYYK #theeverymom #motherly #chuanggirlgang

We are so excited to have a new decent dumpling place in the neighborhood! Ordered from here tonight and we were really impressed. I had the veggie dumplings (ordered the steamed, will get pan fried next time) and the veggie Bing which was really delicious and flavorful. My husband was impressed with the pork/corn dumpling as well as the beef dumpling, which he said was great bc the beef was actually medium rare. I'd love more dipping sauce for the dumplings to be included next time we order, but other than that, really happy with this new place!

Small counter serve specializing in dumplings, bing (savory stuffed crepes), mo (Chinese burger), and noodles. Service was friendly and thoughtful, and my order was prepared quickly. Prices are very affordable here for quality food. I had the rainbow platter of all six types of dumpling, boiled or fried. Each had a different protein filling, with a unique flavor profile and texture. They were perfectly cooked, and my favorite was the shrimp and chive. Can't wait to come back!
