On a warm June Wednesday, my friend and I found ourselves tucked into a little corner of the West Village—CafĂ© Panino Mucho Giusto, a name I had passed by before but never taken the time to explore. The air was gentle, summer just beginning to settle into the city, and it felt like the right sort of afternoon for something light and easy.

We ordered iced lattes and shared their truffle turkey sandwich—a simple yet satisfying choice, with just enough depth from the truffle to make it linger a little longer on the palate.

The cafĂ© itself didn’t aim to impress with grand gestures, and that may well be its charm. It was relaxed, quiet, and unbothered by pretense—offering a comforting stillness that’s hard to find in the city. The interior had a soft, lived-in ease, the kind of space that gently invites you to stay a while. It struck me as a lovely spot to pause, unwind, or even get a bit of work done after a long day.

Not every cafĂ© needs to astound. Some just need to feel right in the moment—and on that Wednesday,...

Go see Ama!! Cafe Panino quickly became my favorite local coffee shop in the sea of NYC option. It’s charming, inviting, quaint, and cozy! Stepping into Cafe Panino transports you to Europe with the ambiance of decoration, music, and the locals gathering of all ages. Everything is delicious here and there are a ton of great menu options – coffee, lattes, teas, juices, bagels (from HH), scones, paninis, gluten free options, etc. It’s the perfect spot to get work done or meetup with a friend.

Ama is the friendliest and most helpful barista – she serves my favorite cappuccino in NYC and has the best recommendations and suggestions
& not just for food! She brought out a cut in half drink carrier when I had two drinks to go. The standard drink carrier for two drinks is an awkward fit and such a waste. I’ve been to many coffee shops and never seen this simple, yet supremely efficient and effective solution! I am so fortunate to have found this neighborhood gem and Ama. Thank you Cafe...

waiter spilled a coffee on my computer and fried it. otherwise, very mediocre coffee and atmosphere. better options around the area. update: owner responded that they wrote a check to get it fixed, they didnt, they offered in store credit, and only when I pressed them did I get a fraction of the cost of the replacement because I didnt want to waste time taking them to small claims. even in their response, not apologetic over their waiters mistake. it could be your phone or clothes or purse or computer that they spill on next, and according to them itll be your fault for...

THE BEST PLACE! THE BEST PANINIS! I admit I was hesitant to give away "the local secret" but Panino is a truly unique place and I want them to thrive! It has "something for everybody" the paninis are great and so are the bagels, pastries, salads, omelettes and of course great coffee! And $5 wine! Where else in the west village can you find THAT huh?! When I walk through the door Sarah's amazing crew is already pouring my coffee- and they know how I like it. That's the kind of place this is. Trust me- one visit and it will be YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TOO!
