Disappointed! A friend and I went to this restaurant last November. When we entered, we were the only two women of color. We weren't greeted, but we were told to sit anywhere. So we sat at the table closest to the counter. We placed our order and waited for our food. There was a table of men seated across from us and another seating area near the window. A group of women walked in and they were immediately greeted. We were asked to move to the other seated area near the window- and they were rude about it. We moved anyway. We waited for our food and the women who were seated after us were served first. When we got our food, it was lukewarm and it had a hair in it. I took it to the counter to complain about it. He ordered me another plate of food. The shrimp in the rice tasted old. I didn't even have an appetite after that. He gave me the bill and I was charged for both plates of food. I will never return to this place again and I advise women of color to...

A cute, authentic Japanese restaurant tucked away on 1st Ave that might be easy to miss. It has a full menu for those who love ramen or really any other Japanese bites - and all extremely affordable for great portions. Wait time for food was also very reasonable!

Our appetizers choices, which I’ll rank in order of my favorite, were: Chicken Teriyaki (to DIE for), Fried Rice, Wantan, Pork Buns, Gyoza, and Ban Ban Ji (personally wasn’t a fan of the last compared to the rest but still not a bad choice!).
I without a doubt will return for that chicken teriyaki. Highly...

The menu is simple but very reasonably priced, and the man who took our order was kind and promptly went to the kitchen. He also was nice enough to break the silence by playing some music from a manekineko shaped speaker/charger, although the quiet was charming in its own way.
Also ordered the Gomoko ramen, which was a pleasant hodge-podge of tasty things in a saucy soup (which is typical of this style of ramen, but if you’re not used to it, it might be odd!) I ordered one of their summer specials (pictured) and we also got an order of edamame to share. Our orders came out relatively quickly
Overall experience was relaxing and comforting. I enjoyed it and...
