Bartender fully scammed me, took my credit card and handed it to a group of men then charged their $30 order on my card. I watched the entire thing happen, called him out, he denied it, and when I asked the group of guys and they confirmed what happened immediately he started apologizing, voided the charges and gave me free drinks. Then proceeded to sexualize me, making inappropriate comments about my body and boldness for calling him out. I would never suggest any woman should trust or enter this establishment.
EDITED: Unfortunately this absolutely did happened at your establishment and I don't appreciate you gaslighting and invalidating my experience. At first I was truly enjoying the environment, but during and after this incident I felt deeply disrespected and taken advantage of and your lack of recognizing that is disheartening. I have receipts, my bank statement with a voided charge and pictures from the night and of the bartender; which will not be posted online but can be handled privately if you'd like further information on...
Read moreWalked into this place per chance. A new spot in my neighborhood. What an amazing surprise. The staff was more than welcoming and accommodating. Service was amazing and the menu was spot on for its pub fare. Everything on the menu was more than reasonably priced. A welcoming break from the overpriced nonsense otherwise found in the East Village. The locale is smallish but that gives it a warm , down to earth, neighborhood feel. Mike and Pablo, the staff, were friendly, conversational and they pour a proper pint of Guinness and make an excellent Negroni. They even accommodated watching live soccer matches from Europe ( with TV volume). The Happy Hour specials were excellent. Will definitely be back often as this is a true hidden gem in the East Village. I highly recommend this place to come on your own to read a book and make new friends or with a group of friends to spend an enjoyable time. Places like these are few and far between these days. ...

As a past bartender myself, l'd never treat someone who's staying sober with such blatant disrespect. Being responsible doesn't make you a second-class guest. It was clear he didn't want our business unless we were drinking heavily.
Luckily, Double Down Saloon across the street actually knows what hospitality means. Their bartenders are friendly, and they'll even make you a solid mocktail if you're staying sober. That's where we ended up, and where we'll go from now on.
Avoid this place if you expect even...
