Please avoid this place if you really enjoy coffee and want a good experience. I came in this morning to get an iced vanilla latte with half and half. What they served me was ONLY milk.

I told the barista that this was incredibly light and that it didn’t taste like there was any espresso shots in here. She tells me that they only put 1 shot then says it’s a double shot. Which one is it? Unless you’re recycling the grinds, then it should taste like a double shot.

She then proceeds to tell me that it’s because I get half and half. No, I get an iced latte every morning from different coffee shops and it’s NEVER this light.

She asked if I wanted an extra shot. I said yes please. She tells me that it’s going to be an extra charge. Why would I pay you more $$ when you didn’t make my coffee properly? I already paid $7! I walked out.

This isn’t a real coffee shop and for the prices charged, you should really educate your staff on how to make a proper latte and how to treat customers. Not everything is money. You just lost a potential loyal customer.

Inexperienced baristas never take responsibility for...

This wonderfully pretentious (and expensive) brand-new shop has now taken (in my opinion) the spot of best coffee on the UES, providing an excellent decaf cortado, incredible drip coffee, and a vibe and asthetic that are unparalleled.

The espresso (regular, not decaf) is a bit dark for my taste, but they said they're planning to have a single-origin option soon, along with a selection of pour overs available.

Prices were mostly around what I'd expect to pay for a good coffee anywhere in the city, $3 for drip, $4.50 for a cortado, up to $8 for a specialty matcha-tea combination, and pastries were $5-6, with $13 sandwiches.

The pastries are excellent, the staff courteous and knowledgable, the presentation impeccable, and the interious is spacious and pleasant to be in. To top it off, the music was lovely, a quiet addition in the background that enhanced rather than intruded on my experience of journaling.

All in all, a great place to take a friend, partner, or yourself out for a...

The service is slow & condescending and the matcha is weak and nothing special.

The matcha latte’s picked up before me were extremely light in color. So, I ordered a lavender matcha w/ extra matcha and it still didn’t taste at all like matcha & also didn’t taste much like lavender. I asked the girl if she could please add more lavender & matcha and she said she already put some … yes, i’m sure but I would love a bit more. She said I would need to wait in line so she could charge me more, because it’s not free & also added that I need to give her back my drink and can’t keep it, because she’ll have to re-make it.

I’m sure there are protocols, but I’ve been to shops where they literally tell you “try your drink and please bring it back if it’s...

Found this spot as we were walking down Lexington on our way to another cafe but we decided to stop here instead. To be honest, haven't had great luck for coffee in NYC but this place blew us away! We came back 3 days in a row for consistently delicious espressos. Also tried their iced latte with homemade lavender syrup, and their Dear Maria drink. The cafe is comfortable to sit in and the baristas are awesome! We overheard one of the baristas tell a customer that when he makes a drink, he makes it as if he's making it for someone he loves...well we love you back 🥰

I went in here knowing I wanted one of their matcha specialties - it was VERY good. Fully blended, flavorful and not too sweet. I got the Matcha Yuchi turmeric over ice. It honesty tasted like a matcha lemonade which was to my surprise. Their almond croissant was also very good - would've loved it warm but they don't have a warmer. They had seating a few tables and since it was packed they let us pull some chairs up to another area which was nice! It is NOT cheap but what coffee / cafe is?
