Please avoid this place if you really enjoy coffee and want a good experience. I came in this morning to get an iced vanilla latte with half and half. What they served me was ONLY milk.
I told the barista that this was incredibly light and that it didn’t taste like there was any espresso shots in here. She tells me that they only put 1 shot then says it’s a double shot. Which one is it? Unless you’re recycling the grinds, then it should taste like a double shot.
She then proceeds to tell me that it’s because I get half and half. No, I get an iced latte every morning from different coffee shops and it’s NEVER this light.
She asked if I wanted an extra shot. I said yes please. She tells me that it’s going to be an extra charge. Why would I pay you more $$ when you didn’t make my coffee properly? I already paid $7! I walked out.
This isn’t a real coffee shop and for the prices charged, you should really educate your staff on how to make a proper latte and how to treat customers. Not everything is money. You just lost a potential loyal customer.

Read moreThis wonderfully pretentious (and expensive) brand-new shop has now taken (in my opinion) the spot of best coffee on the UES, providing an excellent decaf cortado, incredible drip coffee, and a vibe and asthetic that are unparalleled.
The espresso (regular, not decaf) is a bit dark for my taste, but they said they're planning to have a single-origin option soon, along with a selection of pour overs available.
Prices were mostly around what I'd expect to pay for a good coffee anywhere in the city, $3 for drip, $4.50 for a cortado, up to $8 for a specialty matcha-tea combination, and pastries were $5-6, with $13 sandwiches.
The pastries are excellent, the staff courteous and knowledgable, the presentation impeccable, and the interious is spacious and pleasant to be in. To top it off, the music was lovely, a quiet addition in the background that enhanced rather than intruded on my experience of journaling.
All in all, a great place to take a friend, partner, or yourself out for a...
Read moreThe service is slow & condescending and the matcha is weak and nothing special.
The matcha latte’s picked up before me were extremely light in color. So, I ordered a lavender matcha w/ extra matcha and it still didn’t taste at all like matcha & also didn’t taste much like lavender. I asked the girl if she could please add more lavender & matcha and she said she already put some … yes, i’m sure but I would love a bit more. She said I would need to wait in line so she could charge me more, because it’s not free & also added that I need to give her back my drink and can’t keep it, because she’ll have to re-make it.
I’m sure there are protocols, but I’ve been to shops where they literally tell you “try your drink and please bring it back if it’s...
