Famous Famiglia — Restaurant in New York

I rarely give 5 stars since there’s always room to grow, so 4 stars from me already means very good! But this place truly has the tastiest food we’ve tried in New York. Funny enough, the fancier and “posher” the place felt during our trip, the worse the food seemed to taste. On top of that, service everywhere was disappointing, yet they still pushed for tips.

Here, though, it was the complete opposite. The pizza tasted authentic — just like in a small Italian town or village, maybe even better — and the people were so welcoming. There’s no tipping here, which makes the warm service feel even more genuine. I didn’t expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised!

I only wish more places would focus on the taste of the food itself, instead of building restaurants that feel like museums but serve food that...

I was in the neighborhood purchasing toy army men .From Mary Arnold toys. I popped in to this location . Knowing with my gastritis I shouldn’t have been . I wanted pizza so bad . I got a slice of cheese pizza. It was $3.95 for a slice. The ratio of cheese to sauce was great. The flavor of the cheese is excellent. There are so many places where the cheese flavor just isn't strong enough. The sauce is very good. The crust was thin and light. It wasn't very crisp though, which is what it is, and tasted a bit on the bland side, but there were little bits on the back that had a nice slight char flavor.
