Omg!!! If you have not experienced Del Frisco’s Grill you are missing out on an epicurean adventure that will leave your tastebuds doing the most exotic of Latin dances! What did we eat? It was nothing as enticing as a Tango or Salsa. It was actually pretty basic - but with a twist that is specific to Del Frisco’s. I had the Lobster Mac-n-Cheese. It is made with the claw of the lobster - which in this diner’s opinion is the sweetest part of the crustacean. Furthermore, it also includes truffle oil - making it so amazing. The cheese is so rich, I could not even eat half of it. Lori (seen in pic) devoured her Fish and Chips. Per Lori, “This is better than any meal I had on my latest cruise (Regent Splendor). She didn’t think she could eat the generous portions they brought her, but she surprisingly managed. So we now know the food it to die for… let’s talk Service. ASK FOR JOSH!!! Lori wanted a glass of light white wine, but unsure of which one. Josh brought out a couple small tasters for her. How amazing is that??? We have food allergies, and Josh checked with the chef to make certain we were safe. Service was prompt, without being pushy or too long. Thank you Josh! No doubt, we will be back :).

Came in with a party of 10 for a team lunch on a Wednesday at around 12 pm. We started off with a couple of apps to share: Truffled mac and cheese - this was good, but needed more salt Wild Mushroom Flatbread (fontina, caramelized onions, baby arugula, white truffle oil) - this was probably my favorite item. You could really taste the mushrooms and the truffle Pepperoni & Artisan Sausage (fresh mozzarella, tomato, parmesan) - we ordered this one sans cheese, since my co-worker can't have dairy. So this one was really just pepperoni and sausage with tomato. I was surprised at how good it was without the cheese. For my main, I was debating between the hand-shaved prime steak, and the Quinn's Filet Burger (6 oz. ground filet mignon, bacon onion jam, arugula, blue cheese, gruyere, grain mustard). I went with the burger and wished that I hadn't. The bread was stale, the patty was a little overcooked, and the grain mustard just didn't go well with the other flavors. I thought a burger would be good at a steakhouse, but who knew that their flatbreads would end up being the star. Doubt I would come back but if I had to, you know what I'll be ordering!

I try to be sympathetic to restaurant staff, as I know it's a hard industry to work in and there are definitely shortages in workers. However, this place was just BAD. Period. Service was ridicoulsly slow; a party of three of us spent nearly three hours there for dinner and there were only five other tables seated in the entire restaurant. It wasn't a busy night at all, so there's no excuses for such slow service. Our waiter ended up disappearing on us and our poor hostess had to take our orders after 40 minutes of waiting and no one coming to our table. We had to flag busboys down because no one was doing basic check ins for drinks/water refills/checks. Wait staff were basically non-existent. Drinks were good, but food was mid. Pasta dish was dry and stuck together in a giant lump. If our hostess hadn't been so apologetic and comped us a dessert, I would have left a one-star review. There are so many better local spots to go to in the city that provide better, more attentive service. Wouldn't recommend personally. Sorry!

I have been a Del Frisco’s customer for many years, especially at the midtown location for both the steakhouse and the grill and I have always enjoyed the good quality of the food and the service. I wish I could say the same for the del frisco’s grill downtown location. Never did I think that I could play musical chairs with my table. We were a party of four a couple of four on June 27, 2018 around 7:30 pm and we asked for a table outside knowing that there is a chance of rain. The hostess informed us that there was a table inside that she could sit us on and if we decide to site outside then we should know that if the rain starts after we have ordered our food we will not be sited indoors and we would access to the bar for which she could not guarantee a spot. The minute we sat down the rain started and before we ordered we went back to the hostess and told her that we would take up on her suggestion to sit inside. Even though a few minutes had only passed by and we could see an available table in front of us she claimed that there was no availability now. When we indicated that the opentable has availability for every 15 min spot she said that the app is not correct and insisted that she could not sit us and our only option was to stand at the bar. Five minutes later the fourth member of our party joined us and when we explain the situation to him he immediately made a reservation on open table at that point and immediately after he checked in with the hostess, who walked him and us with him to the table that had been available right in front of us. As much as we would like to give the hostess the benefit of the doubt it was abundantly clear that her behavior and actions were to say the least untruthful and reflected badly on what we have known to be stellar quality of service from Del Frisco’s. I sure hope that this is not some new seating policy on the part of the business and if it is not, then she definitely was not the “hostess with...

This place is a debacle. It's become a bit of a joke with my colleagues that when someone asks if I want to go to lunch, I first ask if it's going to be at Del Frisco's, because if it is, I am out.

The menu is fine, the space is fine, but the execution repeatedly fails. The name makes you expect a really good meal. Everything I've had has peaked at average.

Let's talk about specifics, across numerous visits:

"Oh, this fish dish sounds good." Prepare to get some absolutely hammered, overcooked fish. Let me order a completely reasonable cocktail for any NYC bar. (Many minutes elapse...) "We don't have one of the ingredients." Somehow my home bar is more well equipped than theirs... Where, oh where, has our server gone? During one lunch, I wondered if they had simply walked off the job because it had been so long since we'd seen them. After meal after disappointing meal, I finally decided I was going to align my order to what I thought had the minimal chance to get screwed up. I ordered a caesar salad with a lobster tail as the protein. The caesar dressing part was fine. The brown lettuce was not. (Spoiler alert, the lobster tail was, you guessed it, hammered.) And for the price you'd think they could pop the tail from the shell. Instead, I was trying to do it while not splattering it on me or the rest of my party.

I do not understand how this place stays in existence. It is the best example of phoning it in and cashing in on a name I've ever...

I’m not sure what has happened to this place, but it has completely lost its sense of purpose. From the food to the service, everything was just horrible.

We booked a table a day before to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. In the past, Del Frisco’s used to be a good choice, and this would have been our fifth time here. Unfortunately, this experience was dreadful:

The loudest person in the venue was the bartender, who was talking louder than the music, entertaining the venue's staff and a couple of guests sitting at the bar. I felt like I was at Yankee Stadium, not in a restaurant. Two appetizers and coffee were served almost cold. I lost my patience after a separate order of French fries arrived cold. We sat for about 40 minutes, and no one even bothered to ask us how the food was. Finally, we decided not to wait for the main course, as our disappointment was building up. I asked for the check, but one of their senior waiters told me that the bill would be waived due to our dissatisfaction. Fair enough, but why did he try to convince me that the food would have arrived cold from the kitchen anyway? We left with bad memories and lost time, and our anniversary was already spoiled. My main observation about this place is the lack of management and perhaps inexperienced, understaffed personnel.

For a long time, we will avoid this place, and I advise you to be cautious if you decide to spend some quality time with your...
