Great experience. The food came out promptly, and the server was attentive and patient with our big group. The food was delicious, authentic, and fulfilling. I must say that I initially thought the portions seemed “small,” but I was proved wrong. Each one of those bowls was packed with the corresponding sources of protein. For dessert, we had the Rasmalai, which was delicious and “fun,” and the Gulab Jamun (it looks like cocktail sausages), which you would love if you like desserts on the sweeter side. We were a group of 6 (we had a reservation) and visited on a Thursday night. The restaurant was mainly quiet (except for us 😄), so it felt like a private experience. Two things I should also mention: they will recommend ordering bottled water as they “don’t really trust” the tap water in there, and the menus have corrections done with markers, which sometimes were hard to read or understand.

Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Not only was the food terrible, but the staff’s behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. They charged $3 plus tax for a single roti, which is usually just $1 and naan price is 2$ at any normal Indian/Pakistani restaurant in brooklyn. And for that price, i received a burnt, dry, and badly cooked roti.honestly the worst I’ve ever had. When i pointed out the issue, the staff were dismissive and showed zero interest in making it right. The way they treated me was unacceptable. For overpriced, low quality food and disrespectful service, this place is a hard no. Save your time, money, and go somewhere else.

Went here for the second time. Firstly, the service was fantastic just like last time. The food was once again amazing. I got the chili chicken (not in the picture) that was my favorite. They had two types of naan peshwari and garlic both fantastic. I tried the lamb curry and it did not disappoint. Second favorite was the butter chicken, super authentic and amazing. There is a lot more food than what it appears, filled me and 2 of my friends up. Kheer for desert was fantastic. I recommend everyone go here, don’t know why it isn’t famous already.

Absolutely! Indian cuisine has always been a delight for my taste buds, and my recent experience at this particular Indian restaurant was an absolute culinary marvel.

Let me start by raving about their butter chicken—it was a symphony of flavors. The creamy tomato-based sauce was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spices, creating a rich and velvety texture that coated every piece of tender chicken. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness that left me craving for more long after the plate was empty.

Now, onto their garlic naan. It was a delightful accompaniment to the butter chicken. The naan was freshly baked, boasting a fluffy interior with a slight crispness on the outside. But what truly elevated it was the generous sprinkle of garlic and herbs, infusing each bite with an aromatic and flavorful punch that complemented the butter chicken impeccably.

The combination of the buttery, creamy chicken and the aromatic garlic naan was an absolute match made in culinary heaven. The ambiance of the restaurant, combined with the impeccable service, added to the overall delightful dining experience.

Without a doubt, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian cuisine, especially for their delectable butter chicken and garlic naan. It’s an experience that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you...

From Texas With LOVE for DHANIA! I am from TX where South Asian food is in competition to be better. 6 ** Rating, Why? I am an Expert of Bengali/Indian/Pakistani food due to my involvement to provide bi-weekly food to our congregations of up to 500 members. Our food is mainly Bengali/Indian/Pakistani dishes and some outside items like salads/sweets etc. I mostly cook the main dishes MYSELF.

During my visit to NY I dined in few restaurants. I never ate in any NY restaurants before. Dera rest: C+; 3 star Lahore rest: B-; 3.5 star Kababish: C-; 2 star Alibaba Kabab near Bufalo: B+; 4 star Few fast-food restaurants.

Now the Main subject DHANIA restaurant, A++; 6 Star Restaurant is Very Clean, Nice atmosphere. Food came in reasonable time. If food comes quickly then thats not good for S. Asian food. Cauliflower was fantastic! Samosas were very good! Chatney awesome. Chicken Tikka was great! Biriyani & butter chicken was Excellent! Naan was fine & soft! Not hard or burned as some other places.

Since I ordered catering for my congregation from many restaurants in Houston, I became an expert in S. Asian food. Dhania really surpassed my expectations and surprised me in NY. Wish them the best. Keep serving...

Fantastic experience.

Lovely little place - as soon as we walked in we were greeted by a charming host. The intimate dining area was clean, spotless and they seated us immediately. We were the first ones in the restaurant and they cleared the tables for us without hesitation, even though we had arrived very early for dinner.

The food was simply immaculate. Surprising, even, in the most pleasant of ways. The Chili chicken was seared delicately, a perfect combination of crunch and chew. The paneer was heavenly seasoned with lemon and turmeric in large, tasty pieces. Both curries had the perfect consistency and ample flavor packed throughout.

Dhaina is simply one of those places that becomes your go-to secret. It is charming and considerate in all the best ways that make it an easy option to come back to again and again when you simply want to have comforting, wholesome, and tasty food that you...
