The name says it all....

This restaurant is hands down the ultimate nightmare when it comes to customer service (or lack there of). We waited until 5pm to enter, after hearing some good things about it (esp. their burgers), but grave disappointment quickly followed. There was a woman behind the bar, upon entering, whose butch voice greeted us with a horrible attitude. We should have escaped then, but we sat and proceeded to order a drink. When my husband, in his usual cute Italian accent asked the waitress for her opinion between the red or white sangria, she replied "Get whatever. I don't care." We were surprised but still willing to give her and the place a chance.

So he ordered the red sangria, but once we got to the food orders, her unattractive personality dropped another notch into the realm of unbelievable nasty customer service, definitely a first for us both. I ordered their "famous" burger and asked for no onions. She rolled her eyes and replied "It's comes on the side." I had to insist and even explain since I am pregnant that even the smell of the onions on the plate will not work for me. When my husband ordered, she said we were being"difficult" when he asked whether or not they had seeds on their sandwich rolls. We even explained to her that he was hospitalized a couple weeks ago for diverticulitis (which is a pretty serious medical issue requiring attention to diet).

This woman is definitely in the wrong business. Her callous response, actually verbalizing that we were being too difficult and unprofessional behavior was the last straw. I requested to cancel the order and leave immediately, after she left our table and we had a chance to review her substandard actions. When I cancelled, she tried to insisted that the "order was in" and we would "have to take it to go". This is when I explained to her that her behavior had been the ultimate horrifying restaurant experience we have ever had in any restaurant EVER! She apologized but quickly followed with an insult she directed at our son who is 23 months old, and then, a statement that she just did not "want a bad review". It's really sad when these kinds of characters are sprinkled into the population and their only self control is based upon yelp reviews. This is my first yelp review, and even though we travel all over the world and visit lots of amazing restaurants in and out of NY, I only sat down to write this to warn the world of this terrible place. No one should be subjected to this kind of customer service, especially when NY is filled with so many amazing restaurants with brilliant attention to customer service.

p.s. Not sure, but believe the two women we encountered were named Pam and Racquel.

Good luck and happy...

First, please, if physically able, join me in the movement to #stopsucking. Say no to the straw. I saw way too many straws here and was given one with an alcoholic cider (I guess because I asked for ice) and another in a plastic cup for water. The glass is washed and I'm not drinking cider/beer through a straw. The water cup was plastic, I don't need a straw. I haven't eaten out in a while so I didn't think to ask for no straw but still, it's a bad habit, has become environmentally devastating, and is unnecessary for most of us. That's 1/2 a star deduction. The other thing that detracts my rating is that it's confusing whether you seat yourself or not. There are only a few people working there (I was there at an odd between brunch and dinner time, though) and they are busy so it's difficult to get their attention. I saw quite a few people leave because it wasn't worth the effort of flagging someone down. There's a table in the entryway that looks like a host table, but no sign that says seat yourself, and no one seems to be watching the door. Maybe it's different during peak times, but being confused myself, but more dedicated than others, I give it a 1/2 star deduction for that. Perhaps I can update this when I go at a busier time. Once I settled in, the service was good and the food good, it really hit the spot. I got a burger and fries, which were hot and crispy. The burger was cooked to order. I am a slow eater and I was given time to eat. There's plenty to keep you entertained on the walls, and you can look out over beautiful Station Square. It seems neighborhoody/Queens-based but they didn't treat this Brooklynite too poorly, they were actually very nice. As implied, I would go again, but be sure to say,...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dirty Pierre's in Queens, NY, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Here’s what made my visit so memorable:

Atmosphere: Dirty Pierre's has a unique and charming vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The cozy, eclectic decor and the warm, inviting ambiance create the perfect setting for a casual yet special dining experience.

Service: The staff at Dirty Pierre's are exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and prompt service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch.

Food: The food at Dirty Pierre's is absolutely delicious. The menu offers a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed their signature burgers, which were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The sides were equally impressive, and the portions were generous.

Drinks: The drink selection is excellent, with a great range of craft beers, cocktails, and wines. Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing beer or a perfectly mixed cocktail, Dirty Pierre's has you covered.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at Dirty Pierre's was outstanding. The combination of a cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food makes this place a true gem in Queens. It's the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends, a date night, or simply a place to relax and enjoy great food and drinks.

I would have given a higher rating, but they screwed up my take out order. I dined in and put an order for a burger to go at the same time I dined. Apparently, they did not get that right and I had no burger to bring to my son at home. If I had asked for it late then I would try to understand, but I ordered it in advance. Chris seems like a good guy, but I feel he did not put the order in on time. The burger is not bad. The garlic cheese is the special of the place but not truly impressed. The jalapeños were not spicy hot. The mussels were prefect. The sauce makes the mussles too. I took the leftover sauce home. As I said, I would have given them a 4 rating but the screw up in the take out order really did not make me happy. The fries that came with the burger were also perfect. The place is nice, and it has the village feel. The decor is simple and works. I passed thru here so many times but never noticed it. I left feeling lousy because if the screw up. I don't know if I would return because of it. There are so many burger places in the city so that I do not have to return here.

This place is so fun, with great service and delicious food! The portions are extremely generous and reasonably priced, and everything was cooked to perfection. Even for such a small space, the wait was short on a Friday night. I love the decor and overall aesthetic and vibe of this place, and the energy here is top-notch! The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and hilarious, too. I’m not a big drinker, but they have a wide selection of beers and other drinks. This seems like a great neighborhood spot and I will definitely be back in the future!

Second time here and got the mussels both times. Burger is tender and not over cooked. Fries are crunchy. Bread that comes with the mussels is warmed and they supply butter . It’s heavenly. It’s small inside but do not let that prevent you from sitting down . Both times there wasn’t a wait. All the waiters and waitresses work quick and the owner is a doll. I’ll be back next week For another round. Spend your Friday check here. You won’t be sorry.
