I dropped my one year and a half old engagement ring here to have the prongs adjusted and have a small diamond put in the side of the band. I absolutely love this ring, I have had it serviced before and I clean it regularly. It has a large tanzanite gem in the center. All jewelers with experience should know that Tanzanites are very precious stones but you have to be a little more careful with them than you are with diamonds.

He said to give him a week to repair. I gave him two. He didn't call. By the way, the OWNER does the work on the jewelry. I showed up to pick up the ring and THE GEM HAS A HUGE CRACK THROUGH THE CENTER. Since the owner wasn't there, I was assured that it would be fixed and that I would get a call in a few days. I called back next time owner was supposed to be in, and he CLAIMS THAT THE REASON I DIDN'T SEE THE HUGE CRACK THROUGH THE CENTER WAS BECAUSE THE GEM WAS DIRTY AND NOW THAT HE CLEANED IT, IT SHOWS UP. THERE. IS. ABSOLUTELY. NO. WAY. THIS. IS. POSSIBLE. He practically yelled at me on the phone saying the crack was old and that he had nothing to do with it. Absolute crook.

I am in the process of reporting him to the better business bureau. I am getting a lawyer to take him to small claims court. This guy cannot get away with doing business...
