We came here a couple of times before and food was okay. The most recent time that we went, today, we ordered the lamb mo, some flat noodles, and some lan zhou noodles. Lamb mo is still ok, flat noodles were sitting in a bucket of oil and no flavor, and the noodles, well, the service was THE worst. The noodles were freezing cold and when my dad walked all the way back into the restaurant to ask them to reheat it, they refused. He continued asking them however the staff was extremely rude, lazy, and disregarded him, making excuses like āit doesnāt matterā and āthe noodles will be reheated in the soupā (we ordered take out). Funny how they never considered how the soup will turn cold because of the noodles. My poor dad has high blood pressure and had chest pains. Their attitude is terrible and if they canāt even honor what they are selling and even refuse to make up for their mistakes, then we refuse to come back here ever again. Extremely disappointed at this disservice since we used to be loyal customers and even recommended many people to buy from here. Would give zero stars if that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love the influx of different types of Chinese food to spice up the restaurant scene in Brooklyn's Chinatown. There's so much variety here nowadays and you can get a taste different regions in China for a decent price.
Dun Huang is one of the restaurants that moved in and opened recently. They are, to my knowledge, Northern Chinese, but I can be wrong. They have fabulous noodles and fried rice, most of them done with the spice mix that defines the region (a tiny hint of mala with cumin and other complimentary flavors). Their beef tripe is served on sticks with a nice hot broth in a cup. The pork burger/sandwich is filled with spice and seasoned just right (done better than Xian Famous Food, imo). Their noodles you can customize and choose your preferred thickness with different ingredients.
Their cucumber salad has a ton of garlic flavor and is super refreshing for such a spice packed meal. They give you rose tea, which has a bright, flowery taste and compliments your meal so well.
Highly rec coming here. Good food, extremely...

Bought an order of brazed beef noodle soup the other day it was cold and raining. I got it to go and warmed it up when I got home. I was very happy when the noodles came free in the broth, I could tell they were fresh and quality made. The broth was nice and salty with a good hot oil on top. Mild spicy but not overpowering. The beef was fall apart tender, and a few pieces still had the tough membrain on them, but that just keeps good flavor. Plus, what do you expect for around $10? Waygu?
Either way, an awesome, inexpensive soup spot that also servers...
