If you are looking for delicious, well crafted, thoughtful beer, then Fifth Hammer Brewing Company is for you. This Queens brewery is nestled into the 46th Ave neighborhood. It has a beautiful bar, featuring 16 taps of house made brews, with a comfortable atmosphere.

I visited the brewery during NY Beer Week and Fifth Hammer has a English Cask event. 8 casks were featured, with a wide range of flavors and beer styles for all types of beer drinkers.

Spending some time with the co-owner Chris and Mary, they believe in quality and variety. While not offering a flagship beer, their tap list varies with what is inspired and what flavors they are craving. With a long history in home brewing, there beers show depth, well made and clean. Beautiful taps, fun hammers as tap handles with tasty beer showcases their attention to the details.

While no food is offered, you can bring food, dogs and kids into this great space.

Out of the 3 microbreweries I've visited in LIC, this is the cleanest, most upscale & most atmospheric. Gorgeous furnishings, stunning bar top, ambient lighting, super cool vibes. The bar area is airy and spacious with plenty of seating, comfortable, trendy furniture and the drinks menu is extensive. My fave is the 11% brew - perfect for a wine drinker like myself, you can taste the salted caramel & chocolate, along with whiskey, beer & port - a dynamite concoction well worth the price! Whilst they don't seem to offer 'flights', instead you can just ask to taste a few and the bartender will give you a generous pour. Even the glassware is high end! service is polite, chilled and efficient. There's tons of games to choose from, bathrooms are clean and there's even a piano! Most importantly, it's dog friendly including treats :)...
