I wish I could rate the service at this place as NEGATIVE 5 stars. Here’s why. I come to the bar with my friends. The place is pretty much empty. We order drinks. Twenty five minutes later our drinks are still not served (there are 3 other customers at the entire place aside from us). At this point a friend of mine loses his patience goes back to the bar and brings the drinks over. By the way we didn’t even order cocktails. Rather, we ordered beer that takes 5 seconds to open. We finish drinks and order another round (same simple drinks). Twenty minutes later... you guessed it right. No waiter in sight. Ten more minutes later the drinks arrive. By way of background none of us was drunk or rude to the stuff. The mood is killed at this point and I’m ready to go home. I’m asking for my bill. Guess what the bartender says? “You never gave me your credit card”. Well, I DID. As my Uber is waiting for me and I really want to run as fast as I can from this place... the bartender takes another 10 minutes to print the bill...(yes, he found my credit card but never apologized). He never apologized for bad service either. The place was empty the entire time by the way. What happens next is not only awful but is illegal. I leave a 0$ tip. To me 0 service means 0 tip. I worked at restaurants myself so I always tip well. I’ve seen a lot as a waitress but this was another level of up professionalism that SHOULD not be encouraged by tipping. I jump into my Uber and I leave. My girlfriend is inside and her Uber is approaching. Thirty minutes later she texts me “ I just had to pay for your tip and also got basically physically forced from the bar and also missed my car”. Six guys agains one woman. Yes, IMAGINE that. They actually made her pay on my behalf for the service they never provided. The was intimidated and she was scared. You know you are under no obligation to tip by law. You also know the place can’t threaten you and intimidate you to leave a tip. That’s illegal and that, my friends, is a police case. Too bad she didn’t call the cops. Too bad. Because...
Read moreAwful. The Irish bartender guy was so discriminatory. Delightful to my white friends, smiling joking flirting, but downright nasty to me and my brown friend. Just completely different demeanor. Assumed that just because we're Indian we wouldn't tip and said pointed to the two of us specifically and said that the two of us had to tip for our drinks beforehand even though I was paying for everyone. Happily made drinks for the white girls but when I asked for the same drink he rolled his eyes and said he's out. That it's not that kind of bar, that he cant be making cocktails all night (it was an amaretto sour?) but to just get a beer. I let my anxiety get the best of me and apologized and got the beer. After I order my beer, he smilingly makes that exact drink for my white friend when she asked for it and didn't give her any heat for it. I'm a shy person and I regret not standing up to him. He's a bully to POC, because I'm not the only person who went through this. My Asian and Hispanic friends from work who have went there also had similar experiences. But my white coworkers shared that the same bartender was nice to them. Clearly the management doesn't care about the racism, as judging from the other reviews he's been like this for years. Will never go there again and will tell everyone I know not to unless they want to feel...
Read moreThis review is directly towards the BARTENDER My friends and I walked in , we’re asked for our vaccination cards and IDs and then we decided to start ordering . I ordered a Margarita pitcher because this was my first time here so I thought they offered that and the bartender rudely said they didn’t have that. Ticked me off but I went ahead and stayed there to think about what to order and after being overwhelmed with the beers they have on tap my friend ordered a Presidente beer and the bartender replied “This is a white neighborhood and you’re in LIC you won’t find Presidente here. But you can find it in the Bronx”. This bartender you guys hired is basically telling me to leave to a more ethnic area because I’m not good enough for the “white neighborhood” . LIC is literally a gentrified area, couple 2 or 3 decades ago it wasn’t a “white neighborhood” at all , far from it . Someone should definitely open up his eyes because Queens is known for being the borough of many cultures, not just for whites. For him to rudely talk to me and my friends like that is completely unacceptable and from the other reviews this isn’t the first time...
