We live just across the way from this place so we come pick up bagels whenever we're in the mood for a quick breakfast. Our go to-s are the Finn's classic, pastrami, and blueberry bagels. Their bagels are pretty sizable, they have a nice chew but they're still light and bready, honestly it's probably my preferred bagel at the moment but I might need to hit up a few more iconic bagel places before I deliver my final verdict lol. As far as construction of the bagel sandwiches, they definitely load them up! I appreciate the ample amount of cream cheese (I'm a bit of a cream cheese fiend, often ordering 2x cream cheese at other places ) they don't skimp on the lox, toppings, or pastrami either! My one complaint is that they always seem to be out of something (everything bagel, lox, horseradish smear, ect.- it differs everytime) but I guess it shows that everything is fresh. The place is always busy on weekend mornings but the service is quick and they do have several tables and a bar at the windows so I'm sure if we wanted to find a seat it wouldn't be too long of a wait. It will definitely continue to be our convenient take-out bagel...

Purchased 5 bagels @ $1.75 each expecting to pay $8.75. Charged $9.99. When questioned I was told the rainbow bagel was $1 more. For food coloring? Ok, charge what the market will pay but where in the store is the price of a rainbow bagel noted as $2.75? Gets better….they collected 24 cents sales tax on the rainbow bagel. Why? It is no different than the other 4 untaxed bagels. It wasn’t sliced, toasted, made into a sandwich, buttered, etc., all of the CORRECT reasons that NYS Sales Tax is supposed to be collected. The assumption here is that my 24 cents goes into their pocket since the State of New York does not require Sales Tax to be collected on that unprepared bagel…..no different than the other 4 that did not have sales tax added on. Going to give the company a few days to respond before filing a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs regarding the lack of proper signage with pricing, as well as the NYS Dept of Taxation and Finance regarding their illegal practice of collecting sales tax on items that are not taxable. Look at your receipts folks. Question what you are being charged. I will update...

UPDATE: really try to avoid this place. Understaffed, wrong orders every time along with everything I said below. Just not worth it. And definitely don't get coffee here. The barista is the same person who cooks and takes care of cash register. Can't handle everything alone, and gets everyone's orders wrong.

They raised prices and lost their customer base. Place used to have line around the block on weekend mornings. Just walked in on Sat 10:30 am and I was the only one there. That's what happens when you change the entire friendly staff, raise price, and "revamp" the menu for the worse. They also don't let you walk in with your dog anymore, which drives away all the people walking their dogs in the mornings.

The bagels and coffee are decent, but it's no Brooklyn or Esa bagel. This place used to be a neighborhood staple, but now we all get a bacon egg and cheese from the delis across the street for less than half the price.

Not sure what their long term business plan is. I just hope they're paying their...

Place wasn't busy at 6:30am and my recent experience is an indication of why that is. I ordered an Egg Avocado sandwich on an whole wheat everything bagel toasted. Cashier asked me "only avocado?" Assuming he meant for toppings I said yes. I paid, got the food, walked out and when I opened the sandwich there was only avocado. I came back in and apologized & explained that there was a misunderstanding - I had ordered an egg Avocado... he argued with me for a good minute saying that that's not what I ordered and he had asked if it was only avocado. If there's confusion with the order, isn't it standard procedure to repeat the entire order back to the customer to make sure things are right? I paid $16.61 for the bagel, 2 hash browns & muffin. He said I needed to pay $3 extra to add the eggs. Ha. Thats just so ridiculous. Thought I found a good place near work to go every morning but never mind. Always check businesses' Yelp page before visiting. I trusted the Google rating and assumed it was a decent place to go
