This new, under the radar Korean takeout spot opened last month. I love their super convenient location near the Woodside subway stop on 7 train. It’s a small family business that serves Kimbap, Kimchi, Pickled Veggies, Sushi Rolls, and other prepared food (noodles, rice bowls) along with smoothies, drinks, and snacks.
The interior is quite cozy and there really isn’t any indoor seating area but there is a structure outside (shared with the restaurant next door) that has tables and chairs for outdoor dining.
I got the Homemade Scallion Pancakes ($7.99), Dragon Roll ($12.95), and Homemade Kimchi Radish ($3.50). The Dragon Roll had Crab meat, Eel, Seaweed, and was topped with Avocados, Cucumbers, and sweet brown sauce (Teriyaki maybe?). It was yummy and very filling. The Kimchi Radish had a nice kick. It was slightly sour, tangy, and crunchy. The Scallion Pancakes was a fried vegetable pancake with carrots, onions, and scallions. It probably tasted better fresh when it was crunchy but still pretty tasty.
The food all tasted fresh and really hit the spot. I’m jealous we don’t have something like this in my neighborhood. We need more grab and go spots that is not the...
Read moreAn under the radar, unassuming takeout spot that I've always passed by but decided to do a pickup order today and to my surprise the quality of this place is amazing. I ordered the Chicken teriyaki bowl and bulgogi bibimbap and the taste was parallel to a sit down restaurant with delicious savory flavors, fresh crunchy vegetables throughout as well as being a more than satisfying portion. Love that there is stuff to order as well as having food and drinks to go. Also tried out the Boba which was noticeably cheaper than the ones in the immediate area. I had a tasty Taro Boba that wasn't too-too sweet(compliment) but with sub par Boba pearls that could've been fresher.
Overall for a spot right outside woodside train station this is sure to be my new staple go to for some genuinely tasty and...
Read moreI never do reviews but this place is fairly new and I’ve not loved a restaurant more in this neighborhood. The quality you get for the price you pay is unmatched, people will say NYC is expensive but just walk right by a restaurant like this. To be fair, being take out only makes it harder to really enjoy just cause I hate waiting on the walk home for this food. Once I dropped half my bulgogi kimbap on the street on my way home and 5 second rule’d it and immediately popped it into my mouth because I refused to let it go to waste. Wish I was joking. Anyways, great lunch or dinner spot to grab something on your way...
