George's — Restaurant in New York

I decided to give this place another shot after my husband had a bad experience with, what seems to be, the owners wife and prior to that I used to be a regular customer there. The woman approaches my table confronting me about the bad review my husband gave her claiming that I left her multiple bad reviews. I tried to explain to her that the bad review was warranted as she tried to get my husband to leave the restuarant after he was there for PROBABLY, no more than an hour, not to mention he was there with 2 toddlers. She tried to tell me that he was there for too long and it was a weekend and they needed the table for other costumers. This is something that needs to be mentioned before the costumer sits down. You don't tell them you can't order anymore time's up. We've been to much busier brunch spots and never have we ever been rushed to leave to make room for other costumers. If she disclosed this rule prior to my husband being seated he would definitely have honored that or would have chose to take the kids elsewhere. Just be aware that the woman is so rude! You were in the wrong and I chose to give you another shot, you don't confront me with that kind of attitude as if I owe you something! You have zero business etiquette. You should humble...

First time visit here , I take look at neighborhood ,we were really intrigued by the fact that this place has been open since 1956; the food's gotta be good ! friends and I went here on a and we were looking for some good hearty food. The place is not huge and was full -good sign ,but we got a table without much of a wait. The staff is so friendly and quick and helpful. They was ask me why take a lots of picture’s .They cleared a table for us in no time and had waters on the table before we were even done taking off our coats. The menu has a great selection for breakfast, brunch , lunch and dinner. I ordered add a soup , Brooklyn burger, all and any different more of our food was delicious and is recommended. The people next to us got hamburgers which also looked delicious. We might be trying that next time. The place was clean, service was great and the prices were super reasonable. Great, typical diners Food comes out quickly and is priced fairly. They make great burger and over there. They do take cards and also offer delivery. Nice dedicated pictures .No WiFi . Parking easy. Updated: I called to tell the manager about the rude waitress and he instantly made an excuse for her behavior. He said "Oh..she was just busy. It's really busy today". Really?? So because it's busy it's okay for a waitress to snatch a credit card out of your hand in irritation? From that exchange it's obvious nothing will be done so I wont be going back there. Beware that if you have bad service here, the manager will just make an excuse for it.

Original review: The food here is good but there is an older waitress with brown/reddish hair that can be VERY rude at times. Not only that, she's messed up orders on several occasions including today when my family and I were there. Also overheard the customers next to us saying she messed up theirs too. It's unfortunate because everyone else there is usually really nice. We asked for the bill, she gave it to us but didnt come back to get the card for payment. I had to walk over to give her the card and she snatched it out of my hand as if I was bothering her! Not professional at all and then of course is expecting a tip. Here's a tip. Lose...
