Gimbap Story (by Lim's Kitchen) — Restaurant in New York

The neighborhood where this place is located is not the safest, but when it comes to food, it is definitely worth a visit. The food is excellent: fresh ingredients, everything cooked with care and attention to detail. We tried the bibimbap: a classic mix of vegetables, meat, and a perfectly fried egg on top. The balance of flavors and textures was spot on. The shrimp fried rice was also great: aromatic, fluffy, and not greasy. The side dishes were impressive too: crispy rolls, nicely spiced sauce, and hot, flavorful soup. Portions are generous and everything is presented neatly. We ordered the boneless fried chicken, egg pancakes, avocado vegan sushi, and a noodle entrée. The best item was the boneless fried chicken, which we had in the honey garlic sauce that was entirely mild with no heat. Next time, we might want to do a spicy sauce. The avocado vegan sushi was also very good. I would recommend getting this item, even if you’re not vegan, so that you can have more fresh vegetables. The seaweed wrap was very tasty and almost fragrant I would say. The noodle entrée was the least appetizing of everything that we ordered. I did appreciate that I could order from the menu on the touchscreen and didn’t have to have sitdown service. You order off of a computer touchscreen (slightly confusing menu) and honestly, unless you are familiar with Korean food you will struggle to figure out what half the options are.

I went with what I know:

seafood pancake: had the right amount of crispiness and protein. sauce was tasty. Freshly made and piping hot fried chicken: this is Korean style fried chicken. The "spicy" sauce was so-so but it was crispy (yum) Kimbap: lots of available options. Went with the tuna one. Very nice
