I was staying in the area so I went out for a good food. I found this place while walking and I thought it won’t be nice. “ don’t judge the book by its cover” This is what exactly happened, I went inside to look around and I found this little cozy place with fresh smell of food. I saw the foods on the display and I can tell they were all freshly cooked. I ordered a sea bass grilled fish with rice, mixed vegetable (Okra) and masala lentils. Oh man, super delicious. I loved it. This is the nicest and fresh food I ever had outside of my house. If you are in the area you must pay a visit and the food/ service won’t disappoint you at all. Absolutely Incredible Experience at Dhakaya!

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality from the owner was beyond amazing. He made us feel truly welcomed like family. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of authentic flavors that brought back memories of home.

As a special surprise, the owner generously offered us free sweet and shrimp bharta, which were both mouthwatering and unforgettable! I've traveled across many states in America, and I can honestly say this is the best Bangladeshi food I’ve ever had in the entire country.

Small store but BIG flavor! Curries are perfectly seasoned, the rice is very fluffy, and the soup is delicious.

I had the beef curry with okra beans vegetable and a side of lentil soup. After, I had the freshly brewed black tea seasoned with a mixture of aromatics.

I also got the sweet white dessert (the Halua) it tasted like rice pudding but with a thicker texture.

Don’t underestimate this calm and simple restaurant. The food is very very fresh! And you will feel like you’re entering someone’s home kitchen. This place is right by the 21st F train station so it’s also easily accessible...
