Had a disappointing experience this afternoon. When I placed my order I asked for an iced black lychee tea with 30% sugar. After the salesperson rang up the order, I repeated "That was an iced tea, yes?" and she repeated that it wasn't and the man making the drinks said, "None of our teas are iced unless you request it," in an exasperated voice. Perhaps they both were just having a bad day? I've always had a great experience at the Gong Cha locations in the city and was excited that they opened one in my neighborhood. For a $6 iced tea, I'd expect better service. Hopefully other customers get better treatment...

Drinks are inconsistent with your order and how that order would come out at other other gong cha’s and when asked for a correction they tell you you’re wrong instead of trying to figure out the problem and solve it. “Very hot” was lukewarm and “no sugar” was very sweet. This was concerning because I was purchasing the hot tea for someone with a cough and the low sugar for someone with prediabetes. When I politely asked about it the issue wasn’t rectified and they made me feel bad for asking for what I paid $7...

For some reason I decided to act like I’d never had bubble tea before and the employee was really friendly, explaining the sugar levels to me. I ordered a taro milk tea and she asked if whole milk was ok, which I appreciated. I opted for almond milk. It was a great price at $5.50 for a medium and I got it very quickly. It was quite sweet even without tapioca, but also delicious. If I’m out on one of my many walks with my baby and want a milk tea, I’ll definitely go here instead of...
