🚫 “Hello Bangladesh” in Astoria? More like Goodbye Appetite. Walked in with high hopes, walked out with regrets and a stomach full of disappointment. We ordered: – 2 goat biryanis – 2 chicken lollipops – 1 momo – 1 yogurt After sitting for over 15 minutes, we realized most of our food hadn’t even arrived. My friend went to grab samosas himself like it was self-service. When we asked the server where the rest was, another guy came over and said, “We made it and put it back.” 🤡 Huh?? What does that even mean? Cooked food and tossed it in reverse? When the food finally came, the goat biryani smelled like it was marinated in regret — stale, off, and probably made when Nokia was still cool. The momos were bone-dry, and the chicken lollipops looked radioactive with all the red dye dumped on them. Even worse? We ordered two half goat biryanis and got served a full and a half. Had to point it out like we were auditing their kitchen. And to top it all off — the table next to us sounded like a political debate club straight from a tea stall. Loud, annoying, and totally unbothered by the disaster being served. This wasn’t a meal — it was a health hazard. If the NYC health inspector isn’t knocking soon, I’d be shocked. Rotten food. Zero service. Total chaos. Save your stomach, your time, and your peace — skip this mess. Adios, Hello Bangladesh. Never again.

Thank you for responding — but offering a plate of Kacchi Biryani to “cut down” a full-blown food safety disaster doesn’t make any sense. We’re not talking about a missing napkin or slow service. We were served rotten, inedible food that smelled off, looked artificial, and felt unsafe to eat. Most of it ended up untouched. And your staff’s bizarre excuse of “we made it and put it back” only made things worse. This isn’t about coming back for a “better experience” — it’s about basic hygiene and customer respect. If this is how your night crew operates, it’s a liability waiting to happen. We don’t want a free meal. We want a full refund for the food we paid for but couldn’t eat. That’s the bare minimum after this kind of mess. Fix your kitchen, fix your staff, and take this seriously — because next time, it might not just be...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into the cozy and inviting ambiance of the restaurant, it was clear we were in for a treat. Manager Tanzil, with his welcoming smile and attentive service, ensured our dining experience was exceptional from start to finish.
Our culinary journey was marked by several standout dishes that beautifully showcased the depth of Bengali cuisine. The Paratha was flaky and buttery, a perfect starter that set the stage for the flavors to come. The Kala Bhuna was a revelation, with its tender meat and a harmonious blend of spices that was both bold and balanced, leaving us wanting more with every bite.
The star of the evening, however, was the Doi - a simple yet profound testament to the culinary artistry of Bangladesh. The yogurt was perfectly tangy, creamy, and refreshing, serving as a delightful palate cleanser between the rich and aromatic dishes. It was evident that even something as simple as yogurt could be elevated to something extraordinary with the right touch.
The Kachchi Biryani and Leg Roast were other highlights of our meal, each dish resonating with complex layers of flavor and perfectly cooked meat that effortlessly fell off the bone. The Biryani, with its fragrant rice and tender goat meat, was a flavorful journey in every spoonful, while the Leg Roast was marinated to perfection, making it a must-try for anyone visiting.
Ending our meal with a cup of aromatic Tea, we were reminded of the bustling tea stalls of Dhaka, bringing our dining experience to a perfect close.
A special thanks to Manager Tanzil, whose care and attention made our visit not just a meal, but a memorable experience. His passion for sharing the essence of Bengali cuisine and culture was evident in every detail, from the food to the service.
To the team and especially Tanzil, thank you for an unforgettable evening. We are already looking forward to our next visit, eager to explore more of the culinary treasures you...
Read moreI had goat biriyani last night, take out order. They charged me $18.00 for a small order biriyani. All I got old soggy rice from the freezer and 2 pieces of meet non-edible. Who knows how long it was seating in the freezer. I looked at the biriyani in the front service area, looked nice to me and then ordered the food. A moment later I saw the guy who was serving me got a pack ready for me even though I was standing there but didn’t notice. I thought he got me the same one from the front but when I got home, the food is already garbage meaning no smell but no taste of biriyani or food. Completely unsatisfied with the food and their promises. Waste of money, time, energy and the obviously the food. You guys need to do better, bangli restaurant doesn’t mean you have to stay Bangli forever. Be changed, bring the American standard to the food. I wouldn’t review, usually I don’t if the food has minimum quality. This time I had to because I don’t want other people to spend 18.00 dollars on the food and they can’t eat when they get home with take out...
