Highline pizza is the pizzeria right below at the Highline on West 28th Street. it's a small space with a few seats inside and outside. the small pizza place boasts a big menu with competitive prices for pizza, heroes, and other eats. there's a ton of pizza condiments from the fry herbs to a variety of hot sauces if that's your thing. came in late night on a weekday and the pizza place was busy. got a slice plain cheese slice, $3 + tip. a satisfying pizza slice--firm thin crust covered in a slim layer of sauce and a melty blanket of cheese. the slice is pretty balanced—nice crunch on the crust not much flop, cheese is stretchy…the sauce might need a little punch-up but i liked this slice. slice is served hot as it should be…as opposed to warm. service is friendly and quick.

Looking for an authentic but delicious NYC pizza experience? Head to Highline Pizzeria. For its namesake, you can even walk on the beautiful Highline Trail to or from the pizza place. It is located right by a main entrance to the trail. This pizzeria is a classic, small pizzeria with very little seating space but a cozy and homelike vibe. We actually got to eat our pizza slices right out on the sidewalk on bar stools set up outside. They have a large assortment of pizzas and you can get them by the slice or as whole pizzas. The pies themselves are quite delicious and a filling meal for a dinner or a lunch. Great price as well! I will definitely be going back on my visits to NYC. Try the Grandma Pizza ! (P.S. Its what real New Yorkers call a Margherita pizza ;) )

This will be the paper thin burnt slice you'll pay $5 for. "The bad batch", Wasnt even out behind the glass. Its was like hidden. But if you're a chosen one you get the good batch. Like the ones in pictures . Idk how they think this is servable. I wasn't in the mood to confront. They can't throw out every bad batch, so give it to customers who look like they might not care. At least charge a little less. This was the 3rd chance. After 2 other times ,1st with them taking all the people behind me their orders I had to shout my order. 2nd time. Waited 20 minutes for a grandma slice while watching others get there's. If these guys can't multitask, for the sake of the business find ones who can. So many pizza stops to go spend money

Just got off of work... it's a Sunday.. was ready to go home and start dinner but new the food would take a while had my 6 year old Son with me and that's you know that's what?Let me just get a chicken Parmesan slice and my son wanted a beef patty with cheese. I then thought you know what?Let me sit out here since they have a little table and Chairs outside. I told one of the guys if they can wipe the counter down so that I'll be able to set my Sunday night. I was then handed paper towels to go. Do it myself and then when I asked. Why would I use the paper towels to wipe off the bird feces? If I'm getting ready to sit down to eat, he said I'm while I'm working back here via the counter. Okay, fine, but that turning me off. I sat down and began to start eating my slice of pizza with a knife and fork. My hands were dirty. I took the first bite and I was at. It had a Sandy Rocky consistency to the cheese. You know, so the pizza and I continued showing. Spit it out whatever was in my mouth. I spit it out. And then as I began to you know, make sure I had everything out of my mouth. That tastes like sand or Rocky.I said you know, let me go in there and let them know.I'm just gonna get a regular old plane Slice. When I did that very nicely and discreetly?I was told very Obnoxiously that if I don't like it I don't have to eat it. I don't have to come there very nicely. Myself very naturally. My son was there and I was so embarrassed so disappointed. Because it's not my first time there. The guy actually delivered to my apartment right around the corner. Plenty of times in the past, and I was just shot at his response. So I then called the cops because I felt very disrespected as a customer and then while standing there also called the health department and made an appointment. Instead, there, so you can know how serious the matter is instead of brushing me off of something so serious as something Rocky in the pizza. What if I would have swallowed it? You know this nasty. Why didn't you have to react that way it was? I didn't even make a big issue of it. I was actually gonna ask him for a different slice. But Hey it wasn't my permit to eat it after him. Saying that I didn't leave and I started to get calm after I didn't get upset at first as a reaction and I made my calls. And? It gave me the money back and he actually gave me the money back twice. Not even realizing it and then try to make light of the situation. After he was very nasty saying well. Call the police and I don't care. I said you don't care if I eat something and I showed it to you. I actually showed it to you on a plate. He actually took the plate for me and threw it right in the garbage and I couldn't even take a picture of it to show. No. That was my. Sunday experience. I guess I just went straight home and cooked after all. I'm done venting but actually a terrible experience. Somewhere else Domino's PA John's anywhere but there. I asked the guy Hey he used to deliver. At my house, you think you're better now and you can treat people anyway.Because they stepped your position up and you're making a few bucks more.He said yeah, I'm a manager now.I'm the boss.Meanwhile, I have a health department.A submitted request and ticket number and I will be moving forward with a complaint. That's not how you run a...

Lapin and I came here before the Javits Center. The restaurant wasn’t very noticeable from across the street, so we had searched for it on our GPS. The small pizzeria is located right under the HighLine which makes it convenient. When we entered, there wasn’t anyone in there. They had a couple of seats line against the walls and the counter but it could feel packed if more than five people are in there at a time. Lapin and I got two plain slices, a Grandma slice, and a Margherita slice with two sodas to guzzle it all down. The pizza was tasty, a bit tastier than the average tasting pizzeria slices but not as great as brick oven pizza. We had to wait around 10 to 15 minutes for them to heat up the slices before we could pick it up from the counter. The guys who gave us our pizza was friendly but the cashier was annoyed that we didn’t leave a tip. Given this is a small local pizzeria and we got our order to go, picked up and ordered our slices, and paid in a separate location, I have never normally left a tip in a situation like this. Perhaps, this is the norm and I am at fault but I still didn’t think I deserved...
