I’Milky 沐白 Williamsburg — Restaurant in New York

The kimchi onigiri and chestnut mont blanc hot cocoa were tasty, but the service was frustrating. I paid individually for the onigiri and drink, but as I was eating, I noticed that the menu offers combos with discounts for what I had ordered. The cashier had not suggested that I order a combo, and so I had paid full price for the individual items. When I asked if I could have a side or an extra onigiri in order to make my order a combo, she said she wasn’t sure. I then asked if I could be refunded and open a new transaction for a combo. As she was running the transaction, it came out that because my drink was a specialty drink, a combo would be extra, but that was not advertised anywhere on the menu. In fact, the displayed image of the drink was incorrect. The image showed the mont blanc as a topping which I was excited about, but when I got the drink, it was already mixed in. The drinks are good here, but after a few sips of my drink I realized it tasted way too sweet. I asked if milk could be added or be remade and they first discouraged me by saying that they couldn't do it, that they couldn't add milk, adding milk would make it taste "watered down", the milk is too expensive for them to add (I paid $12 for the drink lol). They said they could add water, which would actually make it watered down. They finally agreed to add a very small amount of milk, and it doesn't taste as different.

I've been to hundreds of boba stores literally around the world over the past decade and I've never experienced such poor customer service before. I used to frequent this spot but will likely avoid this place...

The smoothies are about 70% ice and 30% actual ingredients. I know all smoothie places use ice as filler but this was really ridiculous. It was barely even blended, several pieces were literally too big to fit through those massive Boba straws they give you and I had to rip off the top and eat them out of the cup with my hands.

I ordered the Mango smoothie and tasted absolutely no mango, just some generic fruit taste. It wasn't exactly BAD, but I'm certainly not paying ten dollars for a cup of fruit...
