This delightful little restaurant is super easy to miss if you aren't looking. Thankfully, I was looking for somewhere half decent on Nostrand to sit for a while as I had time to kill.
I noticed their sidewalk sign and walked in. It started presenting a nice, calm Island ambience the closer I got to the entrance. I walked in to plants, flowers and "things" on the walls. Their eclectic decor worked well in my book. The designer's blending of "mismatch" needs a high five! My pics don't do it justice.
I really liked their decor and spent some time snapping pics and vids. Staff was really cool with that and allowed me to enjoy this moment.
I was the only patron and it was quiet and really calming. The pleasant reggae music in the background coupled with the welcoming smile of the Server made me feel as if I was home.
I wanted to do takeout but was guided by the Server to sit and enjoy my meal. This wonderful young man encouraged me to have it presented properly and he'd pack the rest for me when I was ready.
He knew what he was doing because I had no leftovers! I wasn't even hungry but I ate all of my ribs and potatoes in one go! It was so yummy!
The spot is small but super clean. Has that new place feel to it as well. This was 27th July, summer 2024. My meal was reasonably priced and my Server took great care of me.
It's a wonderful restaurant for date night/day, birthdays, meetings, solo dinning or just to sit at their beautiful, well stocked bar at the back and do a bit of work. It's a wonder I haven't been back yet! I'll be...

I stopped in Saturday night at 7 for dinner with a friend. The ambiance here is so cozy and welcoming, feels very homey. We were greeted by our waitress/bartender Malikka. We didn’t have reservations but we were seated right away. Her customer service was very good, especially since she was doing everything for all the tables, but she still managed to be attentive.
Drinks: Lychee martini: 10/10. This is not listed on the menu but needs to be ASAP. By far the best of all the drinks we had and we had 3 rounds and it was consistently amazing! Sorrel martini: 9/10 Lemon drop: 8/10
Food: Jerk salmon tacos:10/10. An explosion of flavors Chips and guac: 10/10! Calypso wings: 9/10. Only because we prefer our wings less wet but taste was on point Coconut shrimp: 9/10 King fish, garlic mash, asparagus: 10/10! That creamy sauce for the fish was yummy! Mashed was also really good and my asparagus was cooked exactly how I like it- not soggy and with a crunch. Island pasta- 9/10. Huge portion, very tasty, just needed a bit more sauce (also a preference issue)
Definitely recommend and will...
Read moreIf you’re craving real island flavor with a touch of elegance, this spot is it! As someone with Caribbean roots, I can say this place truly delivers. The food was absolutely phenomenal. It was so good, I had to return the very next day to try their brunch, and that was a whole vibe on its own.
The drinks were not only strong (just how we like it), but beautifully presented too Perfect for snapping a pic before that first sip. The atmosphere is vibrant, chic, and definitely Instagram-worthy, but still manages to keep that warm island soul.
What impressed me most was the consistency. From dinner to brunch, the quality never missed. And let’s talk about the service.. Impeccable! Both times, our servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive, which isn’t always easy to come by in Brooklyn.
I’ll definitely be back. This place has earned a top...
