Alhamdulilah!, this restaurant is quite lovely. I was around when they first opened up. They barely had anything in the kitchen set up at the time, and they still managed to make me an amazing green juice, Alhamdulilah.
Traveling for work and school and being a chef; it’s quite hard for me to eat out. I trust this restaurant very much. Beautiful human beings. There is something for everyone(vegan/vegetarian) if you are looking for excellent halal food that is quite diverse. They have curry chicken, fish, spicy chicken(my favorite), pasta, cucumber salad, kale salad(my favorite). Juices I love; Kale, ginger, pineapple, green apple, orange lemon. Also beet and strawberry and orange mixed is absolutely amazing!
I do not normally go for the rice so, I usually opt for fish or chicken over a mixture of salads, (romaine, kale salad if available, cucumber salad, with olives.)
Their Yemen Atay is AMAZING, and contains no caffeine. It really hits the spot. I am trying to veer away from drinking caffeine and believe it or not, this tea satisfies me and I do not crave coffee after drinking it Alhamdulilah.
The only downside for me which is a bummer, and I know nothing in life is perfect. Running a business and working in the hospitality industry abroad, I believe it’s important to point out. The face of the business everyone sees first.
There is a young lady who works the register from time to time and, Astagfirullah it pains me to say. She is very unpleasant and unprofessional to me. Service for me is EVERYTHING(in every aspect). Not just the food but if one is experiencing unpleasant interaction within the restaurant; it REALLY does spoil the whole experience. It’s important to have competent, respectful customer service when dealing with the general public. This is a reflection of the business itself, Alhamdulilah. If the young lady cannot be professional and pleasant to every paying customer than, she should not be present at the register, safi. This is clear. No matter what level of the game one must remain humble and respectful.
Regardless, please come and patron this restaurant. These wonderful human beings are very hard working, humble individuals. The food is clean. My tummy has always been happy after eating here.
As a native New Yorker, I see many small businesses being pushed out and many natives of this area being pushed out due to gentrification. It’s quite unacceptable. We are all human beings. We come from Allah SWT and to Allah SWT we return. May Allah SWT grant them many years of...

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I can't stop raving about the amazing Arabic cuisine they offer. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience.
The hummus was an absolute highlight – creamy, flavorful, and served with the perfect balance of olive oil and spices. The freshness of the salad was evident in every bite, and the variety of crisp vegetables made it a refreshing accompaniment to the meal.
The baked chicken was a true masterpiece. Tender, succulent, and bursting with rich, aromatic flavors, it was clear that the chefs take great pride in their craft. The Pita bread was the ideal complement, soft and warm, enhancing each dish it accompanied.
The attention to detail in both presentation and taste was impressive. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. I left feeling not only satisfied but with a newfound appreciation for the depth and authenticity of Arabic cuisine.
