Came to this bar clearly for the deals they have and I wanted to have a great time on this Cinco De Mayo. Unfortunately the customer service is terrible but I don’t know if it was because of the day or because I don’t fit their normal clientele, but I didn’t feel welcomed. Took a while for the bartender to notice me at the bar when I sat down and he seemed to have an attitude towards me when I was inquiring about the menu. Not only that but I asked for a straw for my drink and he handed me the wrong one then angrily grabbed a smaller straw. I mentioned, “Id take it easy if I were you because it’s already a 1 on the customer service” in which he hastily responds by saying “Do you want to close your tab and get out of here then?” People beware, if you’re on the fairer skin side you might have a normal time here (no surprise) but for my darker skinned folks, I didn’t feel welcomed. Deals are great though, all I can say.

From the minute we sat down, Anthony took good care of us. He worked the bar, took our order, and brought our food. He was super friendly and helpful. Even in the south, they could take a lesson from this New Yorker on hospitality. Now on to the food. We ordered the fish and chips and shepherds pie. Both were excellent. The gravy in the shepherds pie was very rich and flavorful. The pub battered cod was outstanding and honestly, the fries were even great. Just a warning, no parking and you have to walk under scaffolds ( in August 2025) to get here. Great tavern in the financial district. Highly recommended.

This place rocks! We had gotten off the NYC water ferry and needed some food stat. We walked a few blocks and this was the first spot we found. Never heard of this bar, it has Cheers!, vibes and classic timey music. We ordered 12 mini sliders with cheese and oh-mah-gawd, so delightful. I would travel to get this food and ambiance again. Bathrooms are upstairs and clean. Good for groups, Not crowded and not too loud. Great for a date too, might be hard to bring kids though, most of the seating is high stools. Would come here for burgers and beer!!! Cheerss

I could not recommend this enough!!! Our experience was beyond personable, kind, and hilarious! We popped in for one drink after sightseeing since sunrise and needing to rest our feet, we ended up staying for 3+ hours, multiple rounds and staying for dinner. Food was fantastic, drinks were cheap but 10 times better than any id had in new york. And the service was in a whole league of its own!! We were treated by the magnificent tracy who cared for all our needs, went above and beyond and looked after us all night and even had a laugh with us all the time. The owner- John- also came over with complimentary shots and spoke to us for a while before he left, which was such a lovely touch and he was such a nice man. This will be our first and only time in new york most likely but this place will be a revisit for sure. Cannot recommend enough, thank you...

It's an all right place, decent atmosphere, decent food/snacks and drinks, but the bartender tonight must have had a terrible day or something.

Be sure to use the word "PLEASE" when placing your order, "May I have..." and "Thank you" is not good enough and you'll get schooled in "manners". Most unexpectedly difficult and rude/snappy interaction I've had with a customer service worker for as long as I can remember. English might not be my first language, but I don't reckon it warrants a reaction of this kind. I'll kindly give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to a bad day at work.

Snacks and drinks were served as ordered, no complaints there. I left the place on a good note, but tonight will remain my first and only visit. There are hundreds of other places that feel...
