I literally walked out of the restaurant at 10 PM without dessert that I waited for over 20 minutes. This was my first time at this place, my co-worker recommended it as a suggestion for our monthly outing. We had reservations for 6:30 PM for a group of 9 People. My co-worker pre-ordered the food and asked the waiters to bring the food out when we arrived. After parking and paying the meter, we arrived around 6:40 PM. We were seating upstairs. As we walked in, the ambiance was nice and the lighting was perfect for a Tuesday night outing. We came out for my Co-worker's birthday. We were a Group of 7/9 black females, one black man, and our Jewish co-worker (who suggested the restaurant as it is Kosher). We sat down and was provided with the drink menu since the food was pre-ordered. One waiter stated that he only has the drinks that are on the menu. I asked for Froze and was informed that the drink is unavailable. We asked what would he suggest that is "sweet". We went with the perfect passion (great drink). Another waiter came over and stated that they have Frozen flavored margaritas and Sangria. We ordered this for the table. This was weird as the previous waiter did not give these options, but maybe this guy's rank was higher as he had on a full suit. We had bread on the table as soon as we sat down and the drinks were ordered. The bread had this green sauce (that was delicious) and the bread was gone and our drinks did not come out as of yet. We called the guy over with the suit to ask for ETA of the drinks. It was definitely over 20 minutes and the rooftop area was not even full as of yet since all 5 tables surrounding us were not filled as of yet. A large party came and sat behind us, and two parties on both the left and right came in. Both were served their drinks and appetizers prior to us. Our appetizers were salads. We ordered 5 salads with the pears (delicious), but took over 45 minutes to come out. While eating the salads we asked for the meal to start coming out as its 8:32 and we have all been sitting down for over 1.5 hours. The meats (chicken, salmon, steak, and tuna), Sushi platter, mashed potatoes, and green beans came out. The food was delicious, that is one thing I can agree with about this restaurant (hence the one star). We constantly kept asking the waiters for ETA and no one had an answer. We noticed that all of the tables around us were served. We then finished the course and were provided with the dessert menus. As mentioned previously, we are there for a birthday. We asked them to come out to sing happy birthday (yesterday must have been a VERY popular birth date for everyone as the team came out for 4 PEOPLE to sing with the staff and did not come to the table at all). Our Co-worker who recommended the restaurant was embarrassed and asked the staff plenty of times what was delaying the celebration. The waiter stated "everything is made to order" so, being that we sat down prior to these other 4 tables, our order had to go in first. We asked for ETA of the desserts several times and we did not receive an answer. By the 4th "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," we all got up and left. This was the WORSE Service I have EVER experienced from the beginning to the end. Now being racially profiled was an understatement. The treatment and behavior we received, they never have to worry about my friends or myself returning to this establishment again (which may have been the intention in the first place right? they clearly showed that we were not welcomed no matter how much money was spent here!). For this to be the m worse experience I ever had AND a restaurant in Manhattan, I am very disappointed. I am hurt to even have to write a review...
Read moreI went to Wall Street Grill for their fixed menu meal, this was $39
We got to sit on the roof, nice view and nicely set out. Me and a friend, strategy was to agree on each course, pick two options and split, which worked like a charm.
We came in quite early for lunch, and the place was quite empty, by the time we finished the roof was quite full, downstairs remained empty, but it was a lovely day in NYC so the roof made perfect sense! Can totally imagine a cocktails at the bar for date night.
First course: Chicken Soup + Thai style beef - staff were super nice about us splitting, and without any fuss arranged for an additional bowl and spoon (we managed not to spill 😅). Soup was delicious, with a generous helping of shredded chicken, Thai beef was also very good, the dip sauce didn't agree with me, but it was good enough to eat without. Juicy pieces of meat, wasn't oily at all.
Main: we took the Flat iron steak sandwich (which came conveniently split in two and the WSG Burger, both came with meat done exactly as requested. The sandwich was a bit on the small side, but very tasty and a very nice piece of actual steak inside - not strips like you would expect elsewhere. The burger was also very good, patty was well formed, maybe a bit too packed? but held well and for both the spice/sauce/toppings where on the spot! Both came with french fries which were really special, thinly sliced and just as crispy as could be asked for - really, not a common experience for me, fries might seem simple but apparently are hard to perfect, not all tastes align, but mine and WSG were... My only gripe is that I could have used a bit of ketchup (for the fries!) but it never made it to the table (I requested).
Desert had the Olive Oil cake and Ice cream - I recommend the cake, it also comes with a small scoop of ice-cream, and it is a pareve masterpiece (imho)
Service was a little confused, but well meaning. I do want to give a shout out for the stoneware (nice and interesting plates) which was beautiful and added a lot to the experience.
I remembered to take more pictures this time (quality is all thanks to the Pixel 3a - I'm a lousy photographer), but alas I forgot in the excitement to take a...

The appetizers are equally commendable. The Hangin' Steak appetizer is a unique presentation, with tender marinated beef hanging elegantly from a hook, accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce that complements the rich taste of the beef. Shishito Peppers are blistered just right, offering a mix of mild and occasionally spicy bites, seasoned with sea salt and a hint of lemon for freshness. Their Potstickers are a delightful twist on the traditional, with a crisp bottom and a succulent filling, served with a soy-ginger dipping sauce that enhances without overwhelming.
