Wednesday Afternoon at 2pm. I was seated right away. The waiter/waitress who brought me in were very friendly and efficient when taking me to my table and placing my order.

I ordered: Large Combination Box Special with Chicken Teriyaki and Fried Matcha Ice cream In total without tip: 30.15. With the amount of food provided I believe this was worth it but I have some suggestions/comments for my meal.

The miso soup was great. It had a good amount of miso paste added to it which I loved.

I personally think the bento box was just okay. The chicken was surprisingly nice and soft but wished it had more of a crispy coating. Towards the end of the meal it started to get soggy. The rice and salad were fine but the worst for me was the shumai. The wrapper it self was way too wet and mushy for me.

The nigiri sampler/cali roll was better than the bento. I wouldn't say its the freshest cut of sashimi but it was a satisfying side to the meal.

I finished with the fried matcha icecream. My personal recommendation would be to put the fried icecream in a bowl. I think it would make it easier to eat versus it sliding around on the plate while eatting. Another important detail I noticed was that it came automatically with chocolate drizzle. There was not mention when I wanted this when I ordered nor did I see anywhere on the menu that it would come with chocolate on top. I would say this is the biggest alert because I have a friend who is highly allergic to chocolate and this would have been a problem if she had this dessert.

Overall, I did have a good experience at Ko Sushi. The wait staff was welcoming and attentive with a relaxing environment/vibe to...

This is my go to place for sushi in the UES. I love that the restaurant is beautiful and large with plenty of space for my stroller when we come with our toddler. The staff is always super helpful and provides excellent service and the good is top notch. The sushi and sashimi is delicious and fresh and they have excellent bento boxes. My favorite is the eel teriyaki bento. Their ice-cream is also EXCELLENT. The green tea is one of the best I've ever tasted and the red bean is pretty great also. They give you a scoop with each dinner which is always appreciated but I would order a separate serving for dessert. It's just THAT good. One scoop is...

That was the worst Japanese and sushi I have ever had (and I have had LOTS of Japanese in NYC & LI) ….. I ordered take out and not only was it a fortune but the food came soggy, smelled like it was spoiled and the chicken teriyaki did not taste like teriyaki. I was disappointed as I pass this place on my walk home every day and from the outside it looked good. California rolls at the grocery store taste much much better. Please go somewhere else and spend your money. NYC is filled with better places at half the price. I have never written a google review (bad or good) but today I felt so...

I did a takeout order of the unagi don lunch special after reading a review of someone on here raving about it, and I'm so glad I did. This was a delicious , VERY generous portion. I will be ordering from here in the future! The special came with a large portion of unagi over rice, a miso soup side (the one pictured here was a separate order I placed not realizing the special comes with the soup), some pickles, salad and dressing and three gyoza! For the price this is a great deal and I can tell the care it went into to make this meal. Thank you so much! Excited to try out more from the menu.

As I am eating my lunch thinking everything is ok . I see these tiny moving bugs all over the salad!!Gross!!! I JUST WANT YOU ALL TO BE AWARE SO YOU LOOK CLOSELY AT YOUR FOOD AND PAY ATTENTION TO SEE WHAT IS IN YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU START EATING IT AND DISCOVER LATER AFTER YOU ALREADY DIGESTED GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT !!
