Excellent food. Authentic Korean taste, this isn’t someone who had Korean food a few times and is trying to make a business out of it by hopping into something trendy. There are traditional Korean vegetables like burdock root and fernbrake in the bibimbap which makes it so Korean my grandma would approve. The ssambap set comes with an excellent array of vegetables and I appreciated how large the perilla leaves were. Two peppers, one red, one green along with carrots cucumbers and a generous portion of the correct type of lettuce. They’ve nailed the small details here and I appreciate that. The ssam vegetables also included a generous amount of saamjang and a half bulb of roasted garlic. This is better than what you get at restaurants in ktown. Portions are great. Really great fast casual concept that even has soju. I’m not a vegetarian but you could have an excellent plant based meal here. You can dine in. My only complaint was that the soybean paste stew was lacking in anchovy flavor. They might have used water instead of a stock but only home cooks will go to the trouble of doing that, hopefully they just add a little more dashida. If they were open a little later this would be a decent place to knock back a few bottles of soju with friends. If they ever put a good jiggae on the menu I’ll be there at least once a week.

Finally, an authentic Korean restaurant is here in Fidi! It's like a Korean version of Sweetgreen where you can choose your protein, but it's just that it's not a bowl, and it comes in a bento box. 🍱 KOBA Bowl - $15 🫘 Pan-fried tofu (main) 🍚 Multigrain rice I strongly think that their ingredient choices were great, and I especially loved the kimchi and burdock. The tofu was soft enough, and the sauce was great. However, I felt a little ambiguous about the restaurant's main target as it also had a dine-in option while being a fast traditional Korean restaurant. I hope the menu screens were larger since it was hard to read the ingredients list. ☆ I know it's great to utilize technology to curtail the labor cost, but I think it is necessary to implement the customer service aspect.

From the moment we walked into koba, we knew we were in for something special. The warm, inviting atmosphere paired with the delicious aroma of sizzling meats and savory spices set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Service was impeccable! The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain dishes and recommend the best combinations. Their passion for Korean cuisine truly shined through. Whether you’re a fan of Korean food or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. Amazing flavors, top-notch service, and an authentic experience that will have you coming back for more. 10/10 highly recommend!

This is a review I was supposed to do a year ago 😮‍💨.

i would pass this place everyday on lunch while they were building it, patiently anticipating its opening.

I went here during its 1st week of opening. With it being a new restaurant in the area and a long line during lunchtime the time it took to order and receive the food went very smooth.

I ordered the bowl which I can’t fully remember all the ingredients. I was browsing the drinks being indecisive as to what I’d like to drink, the owner offered me that drink for free which was a very great gesture by him.

I ordered my food room a number, sat at my seat and they served me in a timely manner.

The food was good, however it wasn’t cheap which is the only reason I haven’t returned. For lunch I like to spend less than $15 which is tough working in that area.

I will return soon though since the...
