MCM coffee — Restaurant in New York

If you're looking for coffee, a sweet pastry, or cute ceramics, look no further than MCM coffee! MCM coffee is a small shop location Fulton Street, but don't let it's size fool you. Seriously, this is the best coffee shop in all of downtown. Whenever I need a pick-me-up or am looking to grab something tasty fast, I love to stop here for a latte and an almond croissant. Their lattes are always flavorful and well made. The almond croissant is incredibly delicious - it's mildly sweet and packed with the most delightful almond flavor. The staff is always incredibly friendly. I remember coming into the shop one morning to get almond croissants, coffee for myself and something for my husband. When I asked if they could make my husband a hot chocolate, because he didn't like coffee, the worker behind the counter smiled and said, "Yeah I can do that!" MCM coffee also sells some really beautiful ceramics, so if you're looking for something unique, you can find that at MCM! I always bring friends to MCM and I always recommend it to people who visit the area. They're really just the best coffee...

After running in the United Half on Sunday, I was in need of a little pick-me-up before heading back home to Jersey. That’s when I stumbled across this small, cozy café—and I’m so glad I did!

Not sure what I wanted, I decided to be that annoying customer and asked the barista to surprise me with their best drink. They did not disappoint! I was handed a beautifully balanced iced chai latte—perfectly spiced, just the right amount of sweetness, and easily one of the best I’ve ever had.

At the time, there were a few customers ahead of me, but Jae, the barista working that day, was an absolute pleasure. She juggled everything effortlessly—taking orders, making drinks, chatting with customers—all while humoring my request.

Amazing delights and wonderful customer service. Stopped by here for a sweet treat. I got the lemon alphajore (see photos). It was perfection. Soft and creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. The employee was super kind and patient with all of my questions about the flavors.

Edit since last review: I dropped in this morning with my dog for a lavender latte with almond milk (see photos) and it was perfection. Friendly staff too.

All in all, I 100% recommend this hole-in-the-wall café for their lovely dessert selection, great coffee and superb...
