Absolutely terrible experience. I booked Petite Village weeks in advance for my birthday party with 25 people. When we arrived, they only had seats ready for 16 guests, leaving nearly half of my friends stranded. My friends even had made an additional reservation for an extra table next to ours, but the restaurant gave away their table as soon as they got there.

The restaurant then tried setting up another table last-minute in a corner space that we had planned to use for presents, balloons, flowers, and photos. However, once again, another random group was seated there instead of us. This forced my friends to scramble to find another restaurant at 10 PM on a busy Saturday night, ruining our evening.

To make matters worse, I had to act as my own server—bringing drinks, handing out empty glasses, moving dishes around, and even rearranging tables myself. The staff was indifferent, distracted, unhelpful, and left us to fend for ourselves.

On top of all this, I was in serious pain because something got stuck in my eye. I was literally crying and had to run to the bathroom to fix it. Even though I repeatedly told the staff I needed a moment, they insisted on bringing out my cake anyway. They clearly didn't care about my discomfort at all.

I've never experienced such poor customer service and negligence. If you're planning something important, avoid Petite Village at all costs. They’ve shown they clearly can't handle reservations or basic hospitality.

We accidentally stumbled upon Le Petit Village after another popular restaurant nearby wasn't able to accommodate us. What a happy accident that was! The restaurant is gorgeous - overgrown vines, a cozy fireplace, exposed brick. Cozy & intimate yet still elevated. The food - INCREDIBLE. We shared the foie gras, grilled octopus and baked camembert to start. For dinner - the branzino, steak au poivre & papperdelle. To finish, creme brulee, of course. The octopus, steak & papperdelle were truly the star dishes. I will be dreaming about the papperdelle until I can get back to NY! Finally, the service was truly outstanding! Perfect recommendations and our server even brought each of us a little tasting of one of the drinks I was deciding between so we could try it at the end of our meal. A lovely cap to an incredible experience. It was the perfect enchanting evening in the West Village and we all kept commenting about how this is what makes NY so special - there is some delightful surprise just waiting around every corner. You never know what you might find when you're least...

I have to say Le Petit Village is pretty darn great-it’s a few points shy of perfection, but I don’t think 4.9 is quite enough so I’m gonna give it a 5. If you don’t get anything else, get the baked Camembert, big as a hubcap, melty, gooey and savory sweet with rosemary honey, and something that you never see on a menu anywhere. (We took most of ours home because we also had the French onion soup, which was lovely.) For entrees we had the spring chicken and the whole Branzino (not really whole it’s totally deboned so yay) both delicious, and sweet tangy and decadent Crepes Suzette for dessert-again something you just don’t see anywhere. Our server Evelina was lovely and fun as was all the service. It’s kind of noisy, but it’s a trade-off for the glass front that looks out on what will soon be nice summertime outdoor seating. The mocktails are in a class by themselves as I’m sure the regular ones are too. My advice: scurry on down to this little gem before it catches on any more because soon you won’t be able to...

Delightful village gem - hope this is here for a long time to come. Stopped in here on a Sunday evening and we were impressed with the sunlit romantic vibes, creative cocktail menu, and delicious food. Yulia was a delightful and gave excellent recommendations for cocktails based on my typical herbal and bitter preferences - I thoroughly enjoyed Le Fleur Blanche and the Balade en Foret. We shared the beet salad (fresh and well balanced), lamb chops on Yulia’s recommendation (excellent flavor, tender, and perfectly seasoned and cooked!), the pappardelle (al dente perfection), and the branzino (another Yulia recommendation and it was perfectly light and flavorful, and I’m not much of a branzino gal). Ended up having fries for dessert, which were also perfect :) Overall we had a lovely evening and meal and would definitely go back!

The service was excellent. It was courteous, attentive, and friendly. I ordered their escargot which was wonderful buttery, garlicy, and tender. I loved it! However, I also ordered steak au poivre, but that is not what they served me. They served steak in a brown peppercorn sauce that was tasty, but it wasn't au poivre. When I questioned the waiter, he said it was their twist on the dish. I would have preferred not being misled. They should have properly named the dish. My other complaint was with the bar. I ordered a martini and had to return it because it had a strange after taste. The replacement was better but still had a slightly odd flavor. This is usually due to a poorly cleaned glass, shaker, or ice contaminated by some liquor spilled in it. I will give them another chance. They have potential.

Le Petit Village is such a cool and cozy spot! We popped in on a busy Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised to snag a table for four without any reservation. The vibe here is just awesome. It’s like taking a quick trip to France without the plane ticket. The place is smaller, but that only adds to its charm. We didn’t try the food this time (next visit, for sure!), but we did dive into their drinks menu. And let me tell you, their drinks are a real treat! Everyone in our group loved their choices. I went for the espresso martini. It was the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. Even though I'm not rushing back, I'm definitely planning to come back soon and check out their food menu. If you're looking for a laid-back yet fancy vibe, Le Petit Village is where it's at.
