I came here last week and there was a long line, which is no big deal. My friend and I were willing to wait. Everyone waited and then maybe 10-15 minutes later, one the worker started to rearrange the shape of the line so we weren't blocking the psychic store next door, which was totally fine and people moved accordingly as needed except these 3 girls. They didn't move when the line was moving and they started making a commotion about how they lost their place in line and also, coincidentally couldn't remember who they were standing in front and behind? Based on observation from what I saw, it looked like the worker just let the 3 girls go into the store (was not the service where they ordered online to get a little goodie, cause I saw other people doing that and they waited outside of the store and a worker came out to give them the little premade bag of treats), basically cutting the entire line to get their goods. It was really frustrating to see that because the girls' original spot wasn't even remotely close to the front of the line because I saw and heard that they said to the worker that their original spot was there - points way behind my friend and I indicating they were at least 10 people behind us and there was at least 10 people in front of us. They cut at least 20 people, and by the time my friend and I got to into the store, we waited at least another 10-15 minutes, allowing them to get away from having to wait roughly 20-30 minutes. I think the idea to satisfy just 3 girls who was clearly at fault for not paying attention and then rewarding them and then upsetting the 20+ on line who were listening and paying attention was just not it. That was my experience and even though, the candies were great. I just think maybe the store should just invest in maybe more of those line dividers (they only had like maybe 2 that didn't really do much of a job). When I left the store, the line went back to blocking the...
Read moreMy friends and I visited this location during the holidays. We had been following the process of the first location opening on TikTok and couldn’t have been more excited to experience it in person for the first time! Most of the candy we selected was really good! Some weren’t a big hit with all of us, especially the pear flavored bubs (had a weird artificial aftertaste). I remember being pretty disappointed this was the only kind of bub they had at the time because I was so excited to try those. I will say since it is such a small storefront, it does get very tight and crowded in there making it slightly challenging to look through all the options without getting in the way of others.
Months later, with two new locations, and online ordering available I was hoping to get another chance. Unfortunately each time I try to place an online order, you either have to pick one of their pre-selected mixes or the create your own doesn’t include all of the options that would’ve been included in a pre-selected mix. It’s fairly frustrating because there are so many that I’d like to try, but I’m not willing to purchase multiple pre-selected mixes and a create-your-own mix just to try all of the candies I’d like to try. Please please please update online ordering to include ALL available options for creating...
Read moreI don’t normally write reviews, but this really deserves one. The online pricing at Lil Sweet Treat makes absolutely no sense. If you buy a 1 lb bag outright, it costs $19.40. If you want to customize your own mix, it’s $21.50—a reasonable upcharge for personalization. But if you subscribe to their monthly subscription, they charge $33 per month for what seems to be the exact same thing.
That’s a 70% increase over the pre-made bag and a 53% increase over the Pick & Mix option, with no clear added value. The subscription doesn’t mention any exclusive flavors, bonus candy, or perks that justify this massive price hike. Even if shipping is included (which isn’t clearly stated for regular orders), the price difference is still extreme.
At best, this is a poorly thought-out pricing model. At worst, it’s intentionally misleading. If you’re considering ordering from Lil Sweet Treat online, just buy your candy normally and skip the subscription—you’ll save money with zero downside.
And here’s the real kicker—if the only “perk” of the subscription is getting a custom bag, why does the Pick + Mix option even exist? You can already customize your own bag...
