Here's the thing. The food was excellent. Everything hit the spot especially those hot cakes. But the service was despicable. When we arrived, WITH A RESERVATION, we had to wait to be seated since the whole party wasn't here and that’s understandable no problem. But once they did arrive we still had to wait because another group was at our table sitting with the heated lamps and whatnot because it was snowing, while we were waiting in the cold "tented seating area". After about 10 mins we were told that the party sitting at our table is still here because it's cold and they didn't want to leave cause it was snowing. After that we were asked if we would like to sit in this VERY cold tented area where was floor was slightly wet from the snow, and incredibly cold since the heated lamps weren't working very well. Did we have a choice? The asking seemed more of a formality. If we said no we would be asked to wait which we had already done enough of and we had reservations for events elsewhere. We didn’t have time to wait anymore. Let's just say our jackets and scarfs were on while we ate because of the cold. On top of that, our waitress would roll her eyes and act incredibly annoyed to help us while she was asking the people behind us constantly if they needed anything else. Keep in mind despite EVERYTHING we were still being very nice and hadn't made a single complaint (besides the plates being dirty.) Overall the food was truly amazing. 10/10. But because of the service alone, they won't be...
Read moreThe staff really needs to work on respecting people’s time and providing a more accurate ‘estimated’ wait time here. The food was good and waitress was ok, a bit clueless and least suggestive, and I wish they were able to substitute proteins for those who don’t eat pork. Seats were congested and people are in your face.
My husband and I were walk-ins. We had an appointment somewhere else after. I was told by the front desk that the wait time was only going to be 15-20 minutes, so I thought that was perfect and enough time to get to the other place. 20m go by, then 30m, no sign of getting seated. I followed up and she said one in front of us, end up becoming an hour wait, my husband and I was about to walk out until they called our name an hour later. I had to reschedule my other reservation as we had 0 stamina to wait for food at another place all over again and we were starving. At the end of the service, the lady processing checkouts for customers caught me leaving a 10% tip (I was still nice enough to do that much after the false wait time), she asked why I was leaving a low tip and if I had a problem. I asked “do I need to tell you?”, she said “yes I need to know”, so I told her as it is, and how I had to miss my other reservation because of this. Had I known sooner I would’ve left the line long time ago. She’s like “oh okay, thank you and sorry you had a bad experience” sarcastically. I felt a bit offended instead of receiving genuine...
Read moreWe arrived on time for a reservation we had at 11:30 and checked in with the staff. They told us they were setting up our table and to that we could wait outside. 15 minutes later we went back in to remind them we were still there and they said they had given away the table even though we had been sitting outside waiting and no one had come out to get us. They then said it would be another 15 minutes… we were seated by 11:54 which wasn’t too bad. The staff were generally friendly and food came out quick but what happened after was hilarious albeit bad service. We had our meal and were sitting when the server came up and very kindly asked us if we had room for some chocolate cake. We all looked at each other because we didn’t intend on getting dessert as we were only there for brunch and had already given the menus back. We didn’t jump at the offer either but she continued to say we should try it, it was great and was GF (one of our friends is gluten intolerant) and we assumed she was offering this to us to make up for the fact that we had been left waiting outside. We said okay and thanked her very graciously and she brought out a cake and 4 spoons. We could not stop laughing when the bill came out including the chocolate cake because from the way the conversation had went it had really seemed like a goodwill gesture! The staff were generally nice but this was really awkward and although we laughed it off, it felt like a...
