I love this place. Have been here twice so far during restaurant week and I’m going to make my return visit. I had the opportunity to meet the owner and she is absolutely pleasant and very much open to feedback. The chef and 2 other staff members were a delight to talk to. Food is very flavorful and I like that they switch up the menu. I wish they had better dessert options is why I gave a 4 star rating.

I’ve been here 3 times and the new menu additions are A++. I ordered ALL of the sides along with the harvest salad, the vegan hot chocolate, and a new addition to the pastries. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. Looking forward to going back next month. I missed the free plant offer this year. That was a nice touch during the previous restaurant week.

Ms Halene and Elijah thank you for making this visit one to remember and leave a 5 star...

Mae Mae Cafe is an all vegan eatery located beside the third ave bridge in the Bronx. They offer their kitchen foods, as well as to go meals, dessert and LOTS of plants for purchase. I ordered the falafel bowl, a side of jollof rice, pinto empanada and a blueberry banana dessert. For the falafel platter, they give you a good amount of falafel balls and the platter is filled to the top! The jollof rice has a spicy kick to it and personally, it was my favorite food item on the menu. The pinto empanada was hot and ready and included their freshly blended green sauce. The blueberry banana dessert tasted like a cake formed into a muffin. It pairs great with a side of milk of your choice. They do have a Restaurant Week menu, so be sure to check them out. Overall, the food was good and I would definitely recommend this...

Hi stopped this morning, on my way for a training at Great Performances right next door. I order a cortado and experience the coffee on this beautiful shop. By the way the store look amazingz nice decor and beautiful plants. Unfortunately the gentleman behind the pos and who made my order, was not polite. No greeting what so ever when I arrived. He started making my drink, and the milk sounded terrible the espresso was water down. The taste on my cortado was terrible, I asked him to make it again just this time I just wanted an espresso. The espresso was water down and...

Heard about this place from a friend and had to see this vegan spot in Port Morris, down in the South Bronx. Happy to say my first reaction coming into this was mind blown! It's filled with bright colors from funky cool paintings and their gorgeous plants. (If you're plant lover, you'll feel right at home) Their Latin cuisine inspired vegan menu was also very delicious. I recommend their Ital stew, mushroom burrito, and black raspberry drink. It's also a quiet place to do some work. Their staff are friendly, smart and funny. "If you want meat, you can leaf." LOL.
