I have been going here for about 10 to 12 years and today they sent me chicken piccata which is a white wine a type of sauce and the pasta had red sauce on it and when I called to complain, they hung up on me. So I called back And I told them to just come pick this up or replace the pasta and also the chicken part was half empty maybe they were running out but they still wanted to take my money over the last few months. The quality of the food and service has gone down so much that I will not be ordering from here anymore even though I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years, you can stay in business and treat people that way I was speaking very calmly but I told him nobody makes his red sauce and white sauce and I asked for white sauce and he hung up on me twice which is just horrible business and when I ate the little bite of chicken, it was all fat, and there were no capers even though I asked for extra capers, there were four in the entire order, and there were only three anchovy hearts and two small pieces of chicken Breast. This restaurant is no longer an acceptable neighborhood restaurant in my opinion so beware...
Read moreMama Tina's menu was delivered to my mailbox, via the US Postal Service some time ago ( several years ). I never ordered until last week, 1/7/14. I ordered chicken parmesan, sauteed spinach and broccoli, and ravioli with cheese. The meal was absolutely delicious. The sauce tasted like it was homemade, with fresh herbs and spices. The sauteed spinach and broccoli was succulent. It was sauteed with thin slices of garlic.
I enjoyed the meal so much, that when I had company the next day we ordered in, and my guest ordered baked ziti with meat sauce, and a side order of Italian sausages. My guest's meal was delicious (I tasted it); as I expected it would be. My chicken parmesan, however, was a little overdone. I called the restaurant and explained the situation, they were very polite and sent over another order of chicken parmesan, which was excellent.
I have since ordered a meatball parmesan hero, an eggplant parmesan roll, and a sausage roll, that I found to be very tasty. Mama Tina's has a lifelong customer with me. As a matter of fact, I am getting ready to order a...
Read moreNew to the city, this was the first pizza place that I sampled and boy am I glad that I stopped here first!! I was being greedy and couldn't decide what I wanted so I sampled a Chicago cheese slice of pizza, a pepperoni NY style pizza and got Chicken Parmigiana to go! So I'll start with the pizza, both of the pizzas were really good, but I thought the NY style pizza was better, the Chicago slice had a little too much bread for my liking! However, this is also NY, so what was I doing ordering a Chicago slice anyways? :)Anyhow, I made this order at lunch time, so I had the Chicken Parmigiana for dinner and that was to die for! It was delicious even reheated in the oven and I instantly fell in love. I want to try out other pizza places around NY, but Mama Tina's is definitely a go to and...
