I loved Moe’s donut until today! I went in to get a soft twisted donut and as I was sitting there eating all the way at the back I was facing inside as I had the baby in the stroller. I saw the male employee who’s always there selling, he went in the back and put the bagels in the toaster and as it finished toasting - it starts to come out and 1/2 bagel fell on the floor, he went back to the toaster and grab the bagel and looked at the customers to make sure they weren’t paying heed to him and he picked it up from the FLOOR and put cream cheese on it and gave it to a customer. As he passed by I said to him “did u just picked up the bagel from the floor and you’re going to give it to a customer?” He pretended to not hear me and walked right passed me and went to give it to the customer. At this point I was super pissed, I said to him this is not what you do to people’s food, if something fell on the floor - put it in the garbage! He said to me, he did put it in the garbage (I didn’t had my phone out to video him or I would’ve) If he had put it in the garbage he would’ve had to make a new bagel for the customer but he didn’t, he give them the same one on the floor.
That is very disgusting, unprofessional and...
Read moreAnybody who says Moe's donuts aren't as good as Peter Pan's hasn't a clue because of the following reasons:
You're probably a non-native who moved to the neighborhood twenty minutes ago and don't know the history of Peter Pan.
You are basing your opinion based on perception and not on facts.
You really don't know what you're talking about.
All of the above.
Prior to opening his own store, Moe was the baker at Peter Pan for 18 years. During that time, he developed the all of the recipes which have become longstanding favorites there. In essence, he was Peter Pan. If you're of the opinion that Moe's offerings aren't as good as Peter Pan, you really don't know what you're talking about. It's Moe's talents as a pastry chef that makes the difference. Without Moe's expertise, Peter Pan is just another coffee shop that happens to sell donuts. Peter Pan acquired its reputation because of Moe, not the other way around. Before Moe started working there, Peter Pan, and previous iterations, were average. Since Moe left, that is...

My mom originally got my partner and I doughnuts as a gesture when she was on an errand and happened to see them through the window store. She is not a doughnut person ,but she got herself a coconut flavored one and a coffee. When she tried it ,she literally turned around and got more.
She describes the store as having a very warm, and comforting vibe. The staff are kind and welcoming. She doesn't speak much english, but the staff was extremely attentive, patient and pleasant.
The only complaint my mom has is that there were so many enticing choices that she she didn't know which to get. " All of them looked so pretty !! " - she says.
To put it simply. My mom is very happily eating a donut in front of me. We have also eaten some and can honestly say that they are extremely delicious!
Thank you very much for giving my mom such a wonderful experience!!!
