Just walked out of this so called bakery/restaurant, after some of the girls working behind the counter were very disrespectfull making nasty comments to each other about clients dinning at the the place. In regards to the blond girl with lots of makeup, if u hate your job so bad why don't you do this place a favor and quit. The older lady asked if she can have the chicken cutlet warmed up , you had no reason under any circumstances to be so nasty and disrespectful to her. Learn how to be humble and polite. Because you hate your life and people it doesn't mean you should put it on clients. I'm never going to come back to this place, the food was cold, and the athomosphere created by these workers took my appetite away. I walked out from there with my 9months pregnant wife and another guy who sat among us. We said it out loud that we won't be back there ever again. I hope that so called clients of yours who like this place will find out soon about how unproffesional and disrespectful the crew of Northside Bakery is. Thank you for ruining my day. Hope you loose your job Blonde, u deserve it like no one else I ever met. Stop hating on people , its not their fault you...
Read moreA few months ago I saw this place advertised on a Facebook group. The post raved about how good the selection of snacks, breads, pastries, and perogies are. After much debate I finally visited and that review should have raved more.
This is a local Polish bakery that sells speciality prepackaged chocolates and snacks from Poland. I definitely recommend for the lovers of chocolate to try a few of the selections along the wall especially the chocolate wafers.
The perogies are always flavorful and filling, my personal favorite is the cheese and potato. The warm jelly donuts that are baked fresh are really the best! It's something about the glaze with the sweet jelly that really is addicting.
The staff is always nice and welcoming! It seems many locals come in and speak about Polish local items that you want made or wish they can get with the staff. It's amazing to see the chemistry the staff has with the local clientele in...
Read moreAs someone who is used to unfriendly service in Germany, I was surprised to find that this Polish bakery in Williamsburg truly 'takes the cake' in customer hostility. At first, I was thrilled to have found this bakery when I moved here 8 years ago, as many of their offerings are delicious and similar to what you can find in Germany. However, the inconsistent quality of their customer service always left me feeling hesitant to make it a more regular spot. Sadly, my most recent visit confirmed my 8 years of reservations, and I simply cannot justify being treated with such unfriendly behavior by some of the staff behind the counter. I believe that if the bakery focused on improving their customer service, it would greatly enhance the overall experience and build a broader and more loyal customer base. Nonetheless, since this has been going on for a long time, I will not be returning...
