Obvio Cocktail Bar Nomad — Restaurant in New York

Have you ever been to a bar and thought “man, this place is so cool, but I wish it was giraffe themed”? Ya me neither until I went to Obvio. Honestly, the giraffe theme was awesome and made for such a great topic of conversation later. My friends and I went on a Saturday night at like 9pm and we were able to get in without a reservation. They were kind enough to let us stay at a table since there were 5 of us until they needed the table for their actual reservations, but we were easily able to find a spot at the bar otherwise. We had a little confusion with it since it wasn’t clearly communicated to us up front, but it ended up being okay. Make sure you make a reservation and it’ll make everything easier. As the night went on, it became packed! Made us feel better about having to give up our table. I got myself a Nolo Spritz which is a mocktail. It was pretty good, very citrusy which I love. Watching the bartenders make the drinks was so cool because it felt like they were doing science experiments right in front of me, especially because they are all wearing lab coats. Related to the giraffe theme, I guess? I thought the drinks were a little expensive for my Nashville expectations, but probably not overly expensive for NYC prices. The bathrooms are a little weird and kind of trippy because they are all covered with mirrors. It is NYC so I wouldn’t bank on finding parking nearby and it’s probably better...

OBVIO*WOW WOW WOW..... After finishing a busy week we made our way to Obvio for some Drinks, Music, and Fun. From the minute we entered the front door and pushed open the beautiful entrance curtains we left behind all the noise, hustle and bustle, and scents of the City. The moment the curtains closed behind us the Vibe was incredible!! The atmosphere was relaxing, the music was perfect and we had no choice but to unplug and have fun. The staff was well managed and made us feel like we were royalty. Cocktails were exceptionally crafted and served properly. What we did not expect was the Chef inspired Dinner choices. The food was outstanding as well as memorable!! We are foodies and the food served was without a doubt created by a well distinguished Chef. The entire experience at OBVIO was positive and we would recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale dinner club and a great night...

Great new spot! Won’t be hidden for long. The layout is soooooo cool. It bends in a way where you feel you’re in some secret spot no matter where you sit. The food is inventive, not overdone and a great addition to their wonderfully and wildly Amazing libations. The staff is fast, considerate and knowledgeable. Seating is comfortable and the bar in the center of the back area is so so cool. When they have a DJ and people start dancing it’s a true NY night. The woman at the door that welcomed us was so professional and made me feel special and excited to be there. She was dressed impeccably and was.. ugh, I’m obsessed.
