I’ve been blown away by this Chelsea Studio! My best friend went to Fred Astaire for her First Dance Lessons, her First Dance was the hottest topic of the night. My best friend and her fiancé cannot dance at all yet looked like professional dancers throughout the whole time. Everyone was so shocked it was a beautiful and memorable moment that they will never forget. There are many memorable and important components in a wedding but, by far The First Dance was a highlight moment especially being they were taught my such skilled instructors. I’m so happy they decided to come to Fred Astaire Chelsea, if you are looking for a studio for your First Dance this is THE PLACE! No questions asked you will look amazing on your Big Day! Thank You Fred Astaire Chelsea for making my Best Friend’s wedding a success and over succeeding her and all her family and friends expectations we cannot thank you enough. This studio deserves all its flowers! Not only did my best friend look amazing but, she informed me the instructors are phenomenal individuals in which she was able to create friendship and was excited to arrive at every lesson they made the experience so fun in a moment where she was stressed planning her wedding not to mention the Front Desk Manager Hannah helped her with all her scheduling needs always! She was very understanding of the hectic schedule and always did her best to accommodate her and get her in for doubles when she needed. We were drawn to Fred Astaire New York Chelsea by the glowing recommendation of our friend Elisa Baran, who had an unforgettable experience learning her wedding choreography with the talented Jessa and Chris.

On March 31st, we reached out to them in preparation for our wedding on June 15th, hoping to create a simple yet elegant dance routine. We envisioned something touching and beautiful, a dance that would leave a lasting impression on our guests. With no prior dance experience and admittedly lacking grace, we knew we had a lot to learn.

Juan became our guide, and what a blessing that was. He is truly the best. Patient and kind, Juan took the time to explain each step, breaking them down into simple, achievable movements. His method transformed what seemed like difficult tricks into something we could master.

Over the course of ten lessons, Juan crafted a personal, sentimental, and dynamic First Dance for us—one that we will cherish forever. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Juan. You played a special role in making our wedding day extraordinary.

I have been studying ballroom dancing for several years in different FA studios and with different coaches. Over the years I have been meeting the Chelsea studio staff and students at the competitions. Tim always impressed me as a friendly, caring and supportive individual, and Jessa. Mae's performances were always breath taking. When I found out that Juan Walsh Arquedas, the best teacher I ever had, joined their studio I could not wait to sign up. Juan is an exceptional individual who clearly enjoys teaching and who encourages and inspires his students. While teaching he is open to questions and discussions. He breaks down complex concepts into easy-to-understand patterns and offers simple-to-comprehend parallels.
