Panera Bread — Restaurant in New York

This is my first time Panera bread I was greatly disappointed! So to start off I came there because I was excited about the quick and easy ordering process and And was wondering what is the food would be a bit better than regular fast food well the customer service there is pretty terrible I mean the wait was very long and when my food finally did come it was room temperature/cold so I asked them to make it hot when my order was ready the same thing happened again so this time I I had enough and since they did give me free pastry and T because the wait was so long for the first one and the second one when they try to make my order again And sidenote even the pastry and the for the food cold was like I mean just taste and flavor which is pretty blouse not worth money even though it’s not so expensive I wants I wanna come there again I’m not like the seating I liked upstairs it was nice that was like quiet sit down and do some work but I would never go back there again because the service wasn’t so great because of the long wait times and they’re complete failure of knowing how to heat up food in the microwave like how hard is it like yeah it’s not fresh OK but at least I mean come on you don’t know the heat of the food up in the microwave anyways and the food and the taste do you mean wasn’t their fault it was Panera‘s fault because all the stuff comes from them and it wasn’t too impressed but honestly if I would have my food hot and everything I mean then I just didn’t want to go back there for the taste but I would probably you know give it a little bit higher rating anyways that pretty much does it so if you want really mediocre food really I mean or worse than mediocre then. Go to Panera and I’ll serve you some cold food make you wait a really long time for it and then to compensate you will serve you some some scones to taste like fruity pebble’s now I mean some of you like that and then go for it you know I’m sure there are people like that but I personally don’t so that’s the end of my review my really wait too long review I know I dragged out of it if you’re still reading right now then I’ll get a lot of time...

This panera bread isnt the best I no prople who have worked here and the conditions they had to work in were absolutely unbearable I actually witnessed female manager talking down and bearating and employee in front of a packed register area .you no everyone makes a mistake and because the employee just got on register n started shift she was unable to give receipt.female manager blamed her meanwhile I stood onlineveoth others and we all watched manager rushing cashier to open up.if that were me I cant even tell you ,you take that employee in back and talk to them like a human being,however twist to this storty is actually funny becuz same manager had to make my smoothie so we shifted to smoothie area manger grabbed a blender cup it looked like it had cake on fruit frim a prior smoothie she didnt wash it and we stood watching everything,at this point sh er got phone calk on her cell and wasnt even paying attention to what she was doing i tried to get her attention but she was to engulfed in conversation to hear any of us another employee was walking by and I had to chase her to get managers attention 10 minutes later mind you 4 soup bowls were finshed before this smoothie wasnt even close to what I ordered....this female manger had such an attitude i turned around and said you had acted like unproffesionally to your employee at register in front of packed area and now you your yelling at me because you were to busy on your cell phone and you made me wrong drink.she psst me didnt apologize and asked another employee to help me ....she then went in back walked outside told noone and smokedva cigarette outside of store .... I still told this day my club avoids TT jis panera at all costs.the new hyde park $tore on hillside ave is 100% better faster service...

I came in for an early lunch and ordered cream of chicken & rice in a bread bowl, and afterward a frozen cafe mocha. The location is clean and spacious if you include their lovely upstairs dining area. Very nice for studying or unwinding or quiet conversation. The effect is somewhat spoiled by screaming kids, but that can't be helped. There are 2 single serve bathrooms that are damp, but clean enough. Prices are typical Panera price (so fast food cost +$1 or $2), which is reasonable considering it's in the NYC area.

The lady behind the counter seemed befuddled and unenthusiastic. Like she wasn't sure what exactly to do and didn't care to find out. She said the chicken & rice soup wasn't available until Wednesday, and when I pointed out today is Wednesday she said it still wasn't available. I asked for corn chowder but she said it was summer seasonal and it was no longer available. I didn't bother pointing out it's still August, the autumnal equinox hadn't occurred yet, nor that there were several giant banners advertising for the corn chowder. They did have my third choice: tomato busque. They didn't ask what side I wanted so I got more bread with my bread, and there was no one to ask to swap it out. Soup was luke warm and the bowl wasn't pressed in, so rather than a full bread bowl it was still fluffy with only a few meager ounces of soup on top.

Despite this, I ordered a frozen cafe mocha to go afterwards. It sounds petty and trivial, but they gave me an iced cafe mocha. Considering I paid $4.79 for it, and had no time to wait for them to make another it goes from trivial, to kind of a big deal.

So minus one star for poor customer service, and minus another for poor food preperation and...
