So far, I've eaten here twice. The first time was on a Sunday afternoon. I thought some reviewers were nuts. What do you mean soft crust?!? That slice was NYC pizza perfection. Thin crust, crispy on the bottom, no excess grease, cheese clung appropriately, and the flavor - amazing! You can taste the herb seasoning in a way you usually do not get from a dollar slice.

The second time was slightly different. It was on a Tuesday, midday. The place was packed, with people pouring out on the street. I picked up two slices. Then I saw the issue of consistency in the crust.

Everything else was exactly the same, but the crust was not crispy at all. It held up, but was kind of limp and soft. But I think I know why. More than likely, pizzas were being removed from the oven too early in order to accommodate the flood of guests.

If they find a way to leave the pizzas in the oven for about 3-5 more minutes, that pizza will be NYC perfection every time. The flavor was, once...

This place says they sell cheese pizza for $1.50. I bought it last time and didn't pay attention until I saw that the card was charged $2.25. Today it's the same, just sets the price, turns away and yells at his people without paying attention to you! When I asked why they charged more, he said that the minimum is $5 so they charge 50 cents more. I asked where it was written and this man pointed to some picture with an incomprehensible inscription where nothing is indicated for the fact that they charge money on top! This is a disgusting place that I do not recommend anyone to go to! Always pay attention to your bill if you dare. I have a full video proof of my...

BUYER BEWARE!!! TOURIST TRAP!!!

I attached the photo from the banking app..

Despite the owner saying they only charge an extra 50 cents for purchases under $5, this is a shady business tactic. Not only did you name the store '99 Cents,' while a pizza slice costs $1.50, but your staff also charged me 50% more, thinking I wouldn't notice. Teach your employees not to scam customers and PUT UP A SIGN for 50% CC CHARGE!!

I ONLY TRIED A $1.50 CHEESE SLICE AND THEY CHARGED ME $2.25, SAYING THEY CHARGE 50% MORE IF YOU USE A CREDIT CARD. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM RUN BUY INDIANS!!!

IT'S ON THE GO, NO DINE-IN. IF YOU ORDER 1-2...

I stayed in Greenwich Village during my stay in New York City. Mostly based on recommendations and Google reviews I tried literally 11 pizza by the slice joints in 3 days. I only ordered cheese/plain slices. 99 Cent Supreme Slice is what you would expect for $1. The crust was not crisp and there was practically no sauce on my slice. It was so bland that of the 11 places I tried, this was the only slice I did not finish. Fresh 99 Cents Pizza is across the street and has far better pizza.
