I'd been to the Pick A Bagel on 8th Ave, but this was my first time at this UWS location. My friend is a regular here, so the staff knew her drink order, which was cool. We ordered 2 bagels to share: - Plain bagel with lox spread cream cheese, lettuce and tomato - Blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese We took the bagels to go, but there were some tables inside, which was nice. With the first one, I really liked the addition of lettuce and tomato. It made for a great sandwich for lunch. The second is my friend's go-to. I've always enjoyed blueberry bagels, but had never tried strawberry cream cheese. I didn't find the pink bubble gum color very appealing, but it was pretty good--sweet, like a dessert bagel. One thing I did notice was that they don't put on a ton of cream cheese like some other bagel shops do. I'm ok with that since I prefer light cream cheese, but I can see how people are unhappy, since it does feel overpriced for the amount you get.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. $18.00 dollars for a ham sandwich on a bagel with a bottle of water is lunacy. I’ve been in the restaurant business both as an owner, operator and investor and this is straight robbery. You are paying a premium so the owner can recoup his new build out cost. The staff isn’t pleasant whatsoever and feel like they are doing me a service for them being there. I’m all about supporting my local business during covid and usually tip 30-40% to wait staff, but pick a bagel needs to adjust pricing soon or else they’ll be out of business in no time. They just lost a customer out of me and clearly by the reviews they are going to lose more.

Very quick service and good bagels. This would be a 4 star review if only the staff weren't so rude. Upon getting to the shop the line looked long, but it went really quick. It was a shame once we got to the front to be treated with a "what do you want?" Felt pretty u welcome from here. It saving grace is the speed you get your fresh food and the tastiness. They are really good Bagels!!!

Just ordered a small mango tango smoothie which clearly states "& protein" at the end of their description. Wouldn't that mean it's included in the price? I had already paid and was waiting for it to be made when the guy asked me if I wanted protein. I figured, sure why not it's part of the price. He proceeds and immediately the lady at the cashier said, "protein is an extra dollar!" I looked at her and was like "but it's listed in the description as being part of the smoothie so how could it be extra?" She wouldn't listen and said, "in our system there's with protein and without protein. I charged you for the one without protein." But why is listed then on the menu?? It should be separate and noted that it's an extra dollar. The guy who made the smoothie was arguing with her as well and he apologized and actually offered to make another one without the protein but I just paid the dollar. She was very rude about the whole thing. Two stars only because the guy tried to help me and the smoothie is decent. Way too overpriced and with the lady's attitude and false advertising, prob won't...

yummy One of the best bagels in NYC. We love the everything with cream cheese lightly toasted, but I go for the Pastrami Ruben on everything toasted with Russian dressing anytime after 10 am. You can get it earlier but I have a rule not to eat my first Rueben of the day until after ten am. The quarter pound of smoked salmon is the best I have found in town. No photos yet on this one but the photos in other reviews are accurate. This is my favorite Pick a Bagel. My only frustration is that they do not sell SALT BAGELS. It is getting harder and harder to find salt bagels in town, but their everything bagel is one of the best. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 7 million views in 2021 and we thank you for that. We don't get paid, we just love to eat. Be sure to click on "RobH" at the top of this review to see all of them and to follow us if you...
