MORTON WILLIAMS LEAVES CUSTOMERS OUT IN THE COLD Apparently shoplifting is on the rise. Nonetheless, I am tired of being inconvenienced because of other peoples' misbehaviors. Merchants would rather lock up their products and lock their doors than hire security.
Morton Williams has decided to shut down the registers and lock the doors at the "Freedom" Place entrance at night to prevent shoplifters from exiting the store with groceries.
They are aware that, especially during the winter months, law abiding customers find it annoying to be locked out of the store and made to walk around the block to the other entrance, and then walk around again in the freezing cold carrying bags full of groceries.
They have been reminded them that a significant percentage of their business now comes from Waterline Square residents and others on the westside and that locking us out is not the answer to their shoplifting problems.
Keeping the Freedom Place doors open until store closing is a small request made in the interest of Customer Service and would only require Morton Williams to extend the security shift at the Freedom place entrance by 2 hours!
So Morton Williams , be kind and be smart, because I am certain that the cost of fixing this problem will be significantly less then the cost of losing business from a growing number of...

Read moreTo whom this information may interest. I Recently went to this Morton Williams location (15 West End Ave, New York, NY 10023) since I live pretty much next door. I went in to see if you had an item I wanted to buy. Unfortunately your store didn’t have it. As i was leaving, a retailer named Kelly approached me saying “Do you want to pay for what you took?” in an aggressive tone as if I was stealing something. I stopped and I went back to her to explain that I did not take anything from there and I never will take anything unless I pay for it. I felt very embarrassed and offended. It was clear that she accused me of stealing something when in reality that was not the case at all. I even spoke to the manager on duty named Fabiola and she told me that she was going to address the matter to Kelly since she understood the disrespectful way that Kelly conducted herself toward me. However today I went to the store and the retailer named Kelly kept giving me attitude. The incident occurred on September 23, 2021somewhere between...
