My lunch date with my wife landed us at Pickler & Co. We both ordered a Hot Pastrami, with swiss cheese, whole grain mustard, sour pickle, caramelized onions on toasted Rye bread. I read previous reviews and other folks gave this particular sandwich stellar reviews. So my take is, bread was coated to perfection nice deep crunch znx good color, at first bite I was waiting for the wow moment. I was let down. The pastrami was not tender and trying to bite through the meat was impossible without the help of another hand pulling the remaining sandwich away from my mouth. The semi-sweet onions clashed with the tart mustard and pickles. Only 1/2 of each sandwich half (1/4) had swiss cheese on it. The line moved quickly, however, the 3 seats by the front door got blasted by cold outside air. Our sandwich was made by the same woman who took our order to keep the line moving. She did wear gloves to handle the food. She was just as pleasant to me as she was screaming at everyone on the line to keep it moving. Fake 1-second smile 😁 while handing my food made my day... We will not be going back to...
Read moreGreat place to go in if you are trying to order a quick meal. When you walk in,, you go over to these giant kiosks to make your order. The kiosk ordering is a little confusing because there a lot of variation options and you have to scroll past a lot of them to order. I saw a lot of people ordering the buffalo chicken grilled cheese so I thought I would do the same. It was a solid sandwich but not something I would order again because it wasn’t filling enough for me. There are other sandwiches that look good that I would order if I come back. You get free pickle slices for ordering over $7. My favorite one was the sour one.
Went back and ordered a turkey sandwich with chipotle mayo, avo mayo, and some other veggies. The sandwich was much better than the buffalo chicken...
Read moreTried this place twice. First time I got the pastrami sandwich and made the mistake of not specifying a hot sandwich. What I got was a terrible cold sandwich. I figured it was my fault for assuming all pastrami sandwiches were hot so I tried another of their sandwiches. This time I ordered a prosciutto sandwich and for nearly $10 you get mostly fig jam and 3 thin slices of prosciutto on a tiny ciabatta roll. Not very good or filling. I called to make sure I got what I asked for and the guy answering the phone said you only get 3 slices because it's a very expensive meat, as if I've never gotten a prosciutto sandwich anywhere else before. Maybe I just made 2 bad choices, but I'm...
