Real New York, old school Jewish deli. They’ve got all the classics, including my favorite: kasha varnishkes and knishes, plus vegetable soup. The soup was hearty, the right amount of salt and a tasty broth with chunks of veggies. The knish had a great texture and flavor (though was a little overpriced when compared to Zabar’s excellent offerings). It’s worth the trip for the kasha varnishkes which tasted just like my grandma’s and brought back all the old inner happiness. The vibe is relaxed, friendly, and service is fast. I’m not a meat-eater but they offered all the classic meat deli dishes including matzah ball soup, liver, various sandwiches and all the yummy side dishes you’d expect. Great spot for brunch or for bring home a fest for visiting family!

We ordered delivery via phone today. We got a pastrami sandwich, an everything bagel with lox, and a poppyseed bagel with white fish chunks. Everything was delicious. The whitefish was clean tasting, fresh, and flaky. It wasn’t too salty, either. It came with red onion slices, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, capers and black olives. It also came with cream cheese, but it was delicious without it. Overall, it was a great deli/restaurant. The only one thing less than perfect was that it took more than an hour to deliver to an address 4 blocks away. We placed our order at 1pm, and we didn’t get our food until 2pm. Everything else was great. I would definitely go back again, but probably go pick it up myself or eat in there next time.

Great little hidden jem. I had their burger - it's exactly how you'd want your burger to be.. The steak was juicy and full of flavour, perfectly done at medium rare with just the right amount of seasonings. All that plus a slice of cheese and still below $14 - it can't get any better than the this. Don't forget the chopped chicken liver - one of the regular told me that she loves that item and it truly was a delicious starter. The waiting staff were lovely too. Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely coming again!

I just now bought a pound of pastrami, 1/2 a pound each of coleslaw, potato salad, chopped liver and beet salad. A quart of matzoh ball soup. 90 dollars 💵 - the guy helping me asked if I needed utensils I said no thanks just some mustard, Russian dressing and pickles . He tells me I’ll have to pay extra for the pickles - I don’t care if the food is decent to good - what a stingy greedy way to treat customers - squeezing every penny out of someone who just overpaid for food to begin with. What a bad taste that leaves in my mouth- so many other better places to go where they know how to treat their customers well - I see below the owner responded to other people’s reviews by saying anything for our customers - yeah sure anything you can tack on another dime for - Disgusting business model JP Bernstein - I’ll be buying my Pastrami and Deli some where else from now on !!! And telling everyone I know that they should do the same! Just below my review the owner is thanking someone for leaving a nice review and offering him A cup of soup on the house - but yet I have to pay for a pickle - unbelievable

Please don’t patronize me by trying to explain your a la carte menu “aka” rip off tactics, include “pickles” So ridiculous and absolutely cheap crass and classless to ask a customer who purchased 90 dollars worth of food to “pay” for a pickle - it’s the principal of the matter sir! And it’s your lack of understanding in how to go about treating customers fairly that speaks eons over any claims of how good your food may or may not be... I’ve gone to every deli in NYC, Flackowitz in Delray Florida, New Jersey where Harold’s charges 50 dollars for a sandwich - but no matter what you order they have a free pickle and vegetable bar and it’s also included in take out! I can name dozens of places other then your establishment that also charges astronomical prices which I’m happy to over pay when I’m in the mood for Jewish Deli Food but they are smart enough not to haggle or handel customers over a pickle !!! HOWEVER after I’ve paid my bill and the guy helping me tells me that if I want a few pickles I’m going to have pay again ?!?! - seriously ?!?! Guess what - you saved yourself the cost of giving me the couple of pickles I wanted - guess that savings was worth losing a customer who walks in off the street on a whim to buy a little pastrami to take home and instead buys 90 dollars worth of food Good luck with your penny wise and pound foolish mentality ! I will never be a customer again nor will anyone I know ! Have...

Beware of hidden charges. I ordered off a menu I was told was out of date and prices were significantly higher. I was told I should go online. But even online the price, for example, for carrot cake, was listed twice at different amounts neither being what I was charged. Then there was a delivery charge even though I am 4 blocks away and what’s more a charge for using a credit card I was never informed of. When I called to dispute that charge plus a charge for something I didn’t order ( extra mustard packed with the carrot cake) I asked the name of the person I was talking to and he refused to give me his name and hung up on me. I don’t know what happened to this place. They used to be friendly and reasonable. Sure convinced me not to order from them again.So...
