Edit- Remove the distracting old man in the hate. Got ‘The Sydney’ today(3/21) and the chicken cutlet was so hard and dry I had to throw it out. Angie does her best but she can’t be doing it all. I’m gonna give them a break for a while.
TL:DR- Small error but a big Customer Service win and a great bagel!
I popped in for the first time, worked around the block for a year and never turned the corner, to grab a classic BEC on an Egg Bagel. They were mobbed and even though they wrote the order down perfectly it wound up on the wrong bagel.
Poppy seed, my mortal enemy!! I called hoping they’d say come grab a bagel tomorrow but instead they took my order and ran a fresh bagel around the corner!!
Not only was this above and beyond the customer service support that I expected but the bagel was fresh and delicious and entirely poppy seed free!
Probably not a typical correction of an order but I was happy as a clam since I couldn’t leave work to even grab anything.
Thank you Angie!! You’ve got a new...
Read moreThis is New York City. You are not special, you are a bagel shop. It doesn’t take 20 minutes to make a bacon egg and cheese. After eating the bagel, it was good, not the best bagel in the world. Not the worst. I’d come back if I didn’t have to wait 20 minutes. Weird service, you just wait there until they get the time to take your order. Too bad those extra hands in the kitchen don’t help speed up the process any more. Hop on Pops, or don’t if you value your time well.
Edit: What a way to announce to the world “we have no customer service”. I shouldn’t have to order online to enjoy your bagels. I shouldn’t have to wait half an hour either *when THERE WAS NO LINE. Gone are the days of chivalrous business ownership. Can your online ordering give me recommendations for something I might like when I’m not feeling my normal order? Does your website smile as they hand me the food? Truly a reflection of the quality of leadership within this establishment. Bandaid solution for a much...
Read moreI recently visited a bagel place in NYC and was blown away by the quality of their food. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an egg bagel, and I can confidently say it was the best bacon egg and cheese I've ever had! The egg bagel was fantastic, with a perfect texture and flavor that complemented the sandwich beautifully.
My husband tried a different sandwich, which he absolutely loved, though unfortunately, I can't recall the name of it. We also grabbed an everything bagel with dill scallion schmear to enjoy later, and it was just as great.
The location is your typical bagel shop—nothing too fancy—but the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly and efficient, making our experience even better. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and craving a...
